Can some offer insight?

•Currently making 82k as a public school teacher in the US
•I have a doctorate so I will get a raise
• in three years my salary will be around $120k and will not go much higher than that
•I have a state pension, retirement, and great health care
•I am also an Adjunt at two universities that I enjoy which gives me an extra 20k a year
•at all places of work, I am very well regarded and have a great reputation, which is great but can also give a little pressure to keep the reputation
•I have full job protection because I am tenured so unless I do something crazy, I have real job security
•no kids, unmarried, I have a great family around me

•I was offered a job in the island of my family’s origin. I still have family there and my parents live there a few months out of the year
•the job pays 100k, comparable healthcare, no pension, and I would have to fund my own retirement through a personal Roth or something similar, they don’t employee match
•this is a private sector job, that is growing and is opening locations in many places
•I would have to relocate. I will be living in a beautiful island, a dream.
•but, i won’t be using anything i went to school for
•I will have good pay but I will have to build my reputation from the ground up with new bosses
•there is opportunity for growth, next step would be 150k. But I have to work hard to get there
•I am 41

Not sure what to do. Leave something secure to take a risk? Lifestyle is much calmer in the island job, the US could be a rat race.

Any insight???

Move to PR for work

I was offered a position at a US company who is opening a site in Dorado. It’s a 100k job. Right now I make 20k less than that here in the US. Is moving a good idea?

Serious question

I’m a young teenager girl . My mom says that digital circus has dark themes and that I shouldn’t watch it. My favorite character is Ragatha. She doesn’t let me get Ragatha merch or plushy’s because she thinks that Ragatha is gay and she thinks that that’s going to rub off on me. I don’t know why she thinks this. Can anybody tell me why you think she would think this way?

Defended and done!

Finally! I’m 41, doctorate in music education. Started in 2018, didn’t think I’d make it. My goodness, what a relief.

CFA Convocation 5/16

Checking to see if anyone would happen to know where I can get my hands on the video from the convocation for the college of Fine Arts that was held at the tennis track center on Saturday, May 16? I know there was a live stream, but I don’t know what happens after that if it’s ever recorded or archived anywhere. I got my doctorate degree in music education and I would love to have a memory of that moment. Thank you so much.
