After watching Kartavya and the teaser of Welcome to the Jungle, I am convinced that If Main khiladi tu anari was made today, The Roles of Saif and Akki would be reversed. But... (Description box)
Okay, I won’t say too much, but as of today, Saif absolutely kills it when it comes to playing a cop—Sacred Games, Vikram Vedha, or even Kartavya—he’s just awesome. (Though yeah, small rant: his accent in Kartavya did feel a bit forced at times.)
Now, talking about Akshay—he’s a fantastic actor with brilliant comic timing. But lately, I feel like that same goofiness that worked so well for him in the mid-2000s now comes off as a bit cringe. It’s like he’s become a shadow of what he used to be.
Coming to Main Khiladi Tu Anari: Akshay plays the no-nonsense, honest, and diligent cop, Inspector Karan Joglekar, while Saif plays the goofy (and sometimes cringey) actor, Deepak Kumar.
Now imagine this casting in 2026. Today, it’s hard to picture Saif playing someone like Deepak Kumar when there’s a solid no-nonsense cop role available—he’s just too good at that now. As for Akshay, sure, he could still play Karan Joglekar, but honestly, Saif feels more suited for that role today.
So yeah, if MKTA were made now, I genuinely think Saif would play the serious, disciplined cop, Inspector Karan Joglekar, and Akki would take on the goofy, funny, slightly cringey Deepak Kumar.
But here’s the thing…
I just can’t imagine Saif dancing to “Chura Ke Dil Mera,” and I definitely can’t picture Akki pulling off Saif’s iconic “Wow” !!!
What do you think?

Unpopular opinion: The title Sapne vs Everyone has something that attracts Young and Gen Z audience but सपने बनाम ज़माना (Sapne Banam Zamana) has a more hardcore feel to it
Yesterday, I binged on Sapne Vs Everyone (After Sacred games S1 and Tabbar, this is the only season, I watched at one go) and Loved it to the core. But yeah, I will review it once I am done with the second season.
Here I would like to talk about the Title, "Sapne vs Everyone". TBH, I, a milenial, found the title a little less appealing. It sounds more like a College drama, where the protagonist is someone like Farhan from 3 idiots and has a dream to be in a more artistic or creative field but under societal pressure is doing something everyone is doing like IIT or IIM. Whereas, I feel, Banam Zamana has a more gritty feel to it. Something that does match Jimmy's personality and Prashant's journey.
Now the question arises.. the word "Banam".
So let me take you 16 years back in 2010; An action movie starring Salman Khan was announced- Dabbang. Back then Dabbang was not a very commonly used word like it is now (Maybe in NCERT Hindi Text books). The title itself created a Buzz and to explain the meaning, an entire song was produced - Hud hud Dabbang. So, I personally feel the word "Banam" would've of course created a Buzz if the show had become as big as it is now, but again it would've slowly become a part of our daily conversation.
So yeah, I personally feel, The Title of the show should've been Sapne Banam Zamana instead of Sapne vs Everyone.
What is your opinion? Which title do you think is the best for the show?
Sapne vs Everyone or सपने बनाम ज़माना?
P.S. Let's be civil, it's just opinions here. No one is forcing anything on anyone. Thank you
