Is he only hope ? (read post body)

Not for long, but I have been actively following Indian MMA scene and one of my few favourite fighters is this guy, Nazareth Lalthazuala, Angad Bisht, and Anshul Jubilee.

I really like fighting style of Angad don’t know anything about his upcoming fight, or maybe he would turn completely coach, not sure.

Anshul and his manager has been giving updates, but nothing has exact information or any other potential.

Nazareth Lalthazuala is doing good in ONEfc.

For competing in UFC, is this guy only hope left ?

Who do you pick between Cristiane Justino vs Ketlen Vieira?

Legendary combat sports icon Cristiane "Cris Cyborg" Justino puts her PFL featherweight championship on the line against high-level UFC veteran Ketlen Vieira in the headline event of PFL Tampa. Marking the final MMA bout of Cyborg's historic, multi-organization career, the reigning champion aims to cement her legendary legacy with a monumental 30th professional victory. However, Brazil's formidable contender Ketlen Vieira steps into the SmartCage determined to spoil the grand retirement send-off and capture the world title in a high-stakes clash of power and elite grappling.

ok real question, would khabib beat this version of islam or nah? 155 btw.

been arguing about this in the group chat since the scorecards got read and nobody agrees so throwing it out here.

so islam just went 49-46 49-46 48-47 over garry, a guy who is bigger, younger, and was legitimately competitive with him in the championship rounds. that’s after he already smashed JDM at 322 and broke his undefeated welterweight title reign in the process. before that it was volkanovski, twice, a guy who was pound for pound #1 for a lot of people and islam just shut his whole run down both times, finished him in the rematch with a head kick. and before THAT it was charles oliveira, a guy who was riding a massive finish streak and islam just wrestlefucked him for 5 rounds and then finished him in the rematch too. that’s 3 elite guys with real win streaks and islam ended every single one of them, plus poirier defended against. two weight classes now, hasn’t lost since 2015. genuinely think his ground game and cardio might be the best we’ve ever seen in this sport.

but people keep bringing up two things in the groupchat that i can’t really argue against. one, khabib’s chin was never actually tested because nobody could ever get him there to find out, while islam has literally been koed before (that martins fight early in his career, i know it’s old and he’s a totally different fighter now but it happened). two, khabib’s cardio in his prime looked like it never dipped even against guys who were pushing a real pace, dude just got scarier as fights went on.

khabib’s resume is still absurd too. 29-0, never lost a round that i remember. RDA when he was one of the scariest wrestlers in the division, edson barboza who nobody could take down before that, gaethje in his last fight who was a walking problem for everybody, mcgregor, dustin. erased everybody he touched and retired perfect without really being tested on the cards.

so real talk does the chin/cardio edge actually swing it for khabib or does islam’s improved striking and technical edge make up for it. not trying to disrespect either legend just want to hear it from people who watch tape closer than me cause my group chat is split down the middle rn

Am I the only one who's starting to not like Max Holloway?

Max was in my top 3 favorite fighters ever since the first Aldo fight but he's slowly starting to make me not like him. First it was that comment about defending your girl's honor and shit. Then it was him glazing Conor McGregor throughout fight week ( I made my peace with that cause I respect the hustle) but I'm starting to really not like the way he's carrying himself. He used to come off as the chill guy who had an edge but now he's coming across as bitter. (Repost cause I made a typo in the title of the last one)

Beginner looking for boxing glove size advice (oz) & what to look out for

Hey guys, l'm buying my first pair of boxing gloves and need help picking the right size (oz) to avoid wrist/knuckle issues down the line.

• My Weight: 70kg

• Primary Use: Heavy bag work / Mitts /

Sparring

• Budget: upto ₹4000

• Location: India

A few quick questions:

  1. Which oz should I pick for my use case, and why?

  2. What are the pros/cons of going with 12oz

vs 14oz vs 16oz?

  1. What common red flags or build issues should I avoid before buying?

  2. Any reliable brands available in the Indian market that hold up well?

Thanks in advance!

Only if they sold 2XL, I’d rate them 10/10. Otherwise, strong 9/10 [₹1200 for two]
