Just wanted to share my build timeline updates for anyone else waiting down at the Mexico plant. Western US delivery, eventually.

March 13: Placed order at dealer

March 23: Verify exterior/interior order email from BMW

April 7: Scheduled for production

April 18: Color and options March actual order

April 20: Car entered production and assigned a vin.

April 30: Car has entered assembly line! Step 6!

May 11: Assembly in progress. Step 7.

May 11: Quality Control. Step 8. BMW Genius AI says all quality control checks complete and awaiting to be released to carrier. Two steps within 8 hours!

May 11: Final Assembly. Step 9. Went from step 6 to 9 in about 10 hours today, hitting each one individually.

BMW Genius says it was released to carrier today (May 11) and awaiting transportation to exit port.

May 19: Ready for Transport, step 10. Says released to carrier May 19, awaiting transport to exit port.

BMW Genius says the vehicle has physically left factory and is en route to the port.

My build moved from step 6 to step 9 today. And BMW Genius says it’s been released to carrier and awaiting transportation to an exit port! It’s a Mexico build, ending up in Colorado.

AI says it’s going to travel via rail. It’s (Microsoft copilot AI) is giving me an estimated delivery from May 23-May 31. In others experience, would that seem accurate?

The shortness of breath symptom is by far the worst. Been dealing with SOB for well over a year. And it’s way worse than the pain. Yes, been checked, nothing else wrong with me.

Costo can suck it. That is all.

Car has been in “Begun Assembly” phase since April 30! This thing will never move it seems! Just venting, nothing more. That is all.

So I’ll be getting my build in 1-2 months. I’m typically a stock guy, but looking at some lost cost aesthetic improvements. I’m seeing people do spacers, but I don’t know much about that at all.

Could you all show me before and after photos if you installed spacers, and what size. As well as high quality recommendations.

Pros vs cons as well please!

Can’t stop checking the status updates! It entered production queue on April 20 (step 3), checked this morning after checking earlier in the morning and it had entered step 6, entering assembly line! I know it moves pretty quick at this point. Just can’t wait and can’t stop checking!

Timeline thus far, no allocation at dealer:

March 13: Ordered through dealer.

March 23: Got verify color email from BMW (unfortunately didn’t include verify caliper color, which I found out dealer got wrong).

April 18: Color and options finally match my order. No vin assigned yet, hasn’t started production yet.

April 20: Entered production and assigned a vin, being built in Mexico.

April 30: Entered assembly line.
