Having a little girl soon and my husband and I have tentatively decided on Gwendolyn as a first name.

My only concern is that I don’t love the nickname Gwen. Possibly because my dad’s name is similar.

I have been leaning toward Dolly as a nickname, especially while she’s young, but it also leaves the options of Winnie or Wendy.

I don’t mind Gwennie or Gwen if she chooses those herself when she’s older, it’s just not my personal preference while I still have a choice.
