Hi, I'm Rex. I'm 16 and I don't think I've ever met anyone else with my name. So I'd love to hear your honest opinions on it, and the vibes you get from it!

Not much to say really. Just wondered what y'all thought of my name. You can be honest if you don't like it. Thanks!

Full name for Gigi

Have always loved the name Georgia but my sister just used it for her daughter. I love the nickname Gigi. What are full names that I could still use?

Girl names that would go with their sisters name Alice

Hi everyone!

I would love suggestions for timeless names like Alice to name our next daughter.

Names that I love are Elizabeth, Catherine, Isabella, Camilla but none feel exactly right yet!

Would love other suggestions! Thanks 🥰

James and Jameson

We are thinking about naming our 3rd child Jameson, but one potential thing we see as a challenge is our middle child has the middle name James. Would anyone else do this? It’s not like the middle name comes up a lot, but just want to see opinions to consider on this matter.

Looking for deep sounding Japanese names (boys and girls)

Hi there! We are planning for baby no.3 but we have 0 (ZERO) baby names that we both like. 0 girl, 0 boy.

Girl names my husband likes that I vetoed:

- Yuuna (Sounds like "don't say it" in Japanese.)

- Yuina (I don't like the high "i" sound.)

Girl names I like that my husband vetoed:

- Sayuri (Too close to cousin's name.)

- Hiyori (Simply doesn't like.)

The only boy name we ever considered but ultimately ended up not liking is: Hisato

Boy names my husnand vetoed due to belonging to friends and family: Ryuji, Kenji

- Names can NOT start T, K or S. (We love the name Kagura for a girl, but K is already taken in the family.)

- We are looking for deep vowel names. A, U, O mainly. Especially on the ending. But also open to some high vowels, as long as the name still sounds "firm".

- No kira-kira names and no Showa names either please. (Like Pikachu or girl names ending with -ko.) Anime names are welcomed as long as they're actual japanese names. ^^

- I'm looking for a bit western-ish sounding names (so not like Ryunosuke)

Not sure if I could convey clearly the type of name we're looking for. Honestly I don't even know what we're looking for at this point. 😂

I hope you can leave your favourite names here and we might get some ideas browsing through it. The more the merrier. Thank you in advance for taking time out of your day to contribute to our naming journey. ☺️

Names associated with Truth

I bought a horse today whose registered name is Truth Bomb. He didn’t come with a barn name so I’ve been wracking my brain trying to think of something associated to his registered name that is still super cool. Any suggestions? I was liking Veritas, but wanted other options because he also isn’t giving Veritas lol.

November baby name

So my husband and I have two daughters named Aurelia and Everyn. We will be having our third baby in the fall and we won’t be finding out the gender before the baby is born. My husband likes the name November for a girl or boy. Is it weird?

Names that remind you of the color green

Just for fun! My godchildren are named F0rest (b) and S@ge (g) and my best friend is definitely done having kids!

Once upon a time the ‘name’ would’ve been Olive, but has since been taken by a close friend. As has Ivy. I’m hyper fixated on the name Romy (Rosemary) lately, but that doesn’t necessarily feel green to me.

Thank you for entertaining me!

First name for a boy that goes with the middle name Alec

As the title says. I want to honor my late best friend who passed four years ago.

My spouse and I are starting our conception journey. We have lots of girls names we like but we are struggling with finding a boy’s first name that flows well with Alec as a middle name. We are open to anything but we would prefer something in the not-as-common category.

Thanks! Hope everyone is having a great summer

Moon/Astrological Names, Not Cheesy or Overused

I’m 28 weeks pregnant with my second girl. My first’s name is Emilija Octavia {last_name}. The “j” is there because of Lithuanian heritage, but I live in the US. We call her “Emi”.

I’m looking for an elegant, dark, name for this girl. I feel compelled to do a moon or astrological based name, but I don’t like the common, typical ones like Stella (step-sister in law’s name), Selena, Luna, Aurora (brother’s ex’s name).

Reasons:
- period was due on the blood moon (total lunar eclipse)
- just prior to that, all the planets aligned.
- new moon 2 days before she is born, possibility of giving birth on that day (November 8th, due on the 10th).

I’m not normally one of those “moon and stars” everything kinda people. I was when I was younger. I appreciate astrology, and casually invest some time into the subject out of curiosity.

Names I like:
Ophelia
Cressida
Cordelia
Lyra (preferred for a middle name)

It needs to be useable, or have a good nickname, in the US/English.

Also… my brother’s dog is Artemis, so that won’t work.

Good luck name nerds. Much appreciated!

Rosie or Tessa?

Just found out im pregnant with baby girl #2. Big sister is Nina. Which name do you prefer - Rosie or Tessa? Note, it would not be Rose or Tess. Rosie or Tessa would be the full, legal name. Middle name Elizabeth with either

Naming my girl has me second guessing everything

I’ve posted twice here already asking about thoughts on Hadley and some other names, but even though I like it I never really was 100% certain. I started really liking the name Charlotte. I’ve actually always loved the name since I was little, but I only just now started really considering it for my baby girl. I’m heavily leaning towards it now, but I’m worried it’ll be too popular. It’s apparently the #1 girls baby name in my state last year, but out of 57,000+ live births only 224 were named Charlotte. Is it crazy I’m even taking that into account? I don’t want her to be one of 12 in her grade, but I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with having a common name. Ugh.

Thoughts and comments or do I just sound crazy?

Baby nicknames for Reed

My husband loves this name and I like it for an adult but can’t imagine calling my baby that. Yes, I know he’ll only be a baby for a short time but what are some nicknames I could call him as a baby/toddler to get me over the hump?

Baby name agony

What does everyone think about the name Sylvie Claire? I have gotten mixed reactions when I mention it to people.
I want my baby to have a name that's easy enough to pronounce but not so common that she has 10 kids with the same name in her class.

I like french names a lot. Celeste is my favorite, but my husband doesn't like it. Sylvie is the only name we have been able to agree on, but I really do like it.

What math-related words would be nice as names?

Obviously not to name an actual child, just for fun. I love Radian for a boy, it sounds classic, bright and strong. For a girl I would pick Cosine, pronounced as cozeen (ignore the fact that it sounds like cousin, this is fun and games 😤)

Baby girl names / thoughts

Help! We are having a baby girl in December and I'm feeling indecisive. We have a ton of boy names we love but struggle with girls. Our current daughter has a floral name. I love nature inspired names that are known but not overly popular.

Top name I think I love is:

Vivian Elyse (any nickname recommendations would be appreciated, I like Vivi and Vinny)

Names I also like:

Dahlia (adore this name but it's been vetoed)

Daphne

Valerie

Adrienne

Open to suggestions or reassurance, thank you!
