Negatives of a Code Share Flight?
When booking, I normally use Google Flights to work through the permutations, then go directly to the QA website to book. Last night I was planning a business class CRK-DOH-IAD flight, but instead of going to the QA website and re-entering my dates, I just clicked the "Book with Qatar Airways" link inside Google Flights. It took me to the QA website where I logged in and completed the purchase like normal without having to re-enter the flight information. This morning I took a close look a the tickets, and it shows the US/Doha legs as a JetBlue codeshare operated by QA.
Some googling shows that I can still collect Avios on the flight, but I won't collect Qpoints. QA is the operator, so I still get QSuite on the US legs, and the baggage allowance is the same. I'm Platinum level Privilege Club which normally gives me access to the Al Safwa First Class Lounge, but it appears I lose access since I'm on a codeshare. Any other negatives people are aware of? For reference, if I try to book the identical flight 100% with QA, it's going to cost over $3k more than the current codeshare arrangement.
