Iberia Baggage Delay Compensation
On my recent Iberia flight, my baggage was stuck in the origin airport for 2 days. As a result, I have to buy some essentials to continue my trip.
I reached out to Iberia to claim these essential expenses. They agreed to compensate me with a cheque denominated in USD as I am based in Singapore and do not have a European bank account.
However, after a week they said they cannot send me the cheque and now offers me to wire the compensation amount but only to a Europe or US bank account. Explicitly telling me they cannot transfer to a Singapore bank account.
I tried to reply with my local bank details BIC and number but they insist it must have an ABA number and US address.
Am I not eligible to receive this compensation or Iberia is just screwing around?
