So Do Volatile Hives Actually Impact Spawns Or Not?

Google's fetid excuse of a search engine just keeps forcefeeding me its pathetic AI's drunk hallucinations and won't point me to a solid answer. It either tells me "if you enter a hive and destroy all volatiles blahblahblah" which is for The Following DLC for the first game, or it just rambles on and on about "blue icon this, grey icon that" without actually telling me what that means for Volatile activity in The Beast. I get that the Hives are meant to be farmable for late game, multiplayer and events, but Google doesn't realise that I could not care less, and just want to know if it actually affects night time Volatile spawn rates.

Reddit (as usual) has the answers, so if someone could bless me with the knowledge, I'd be very grateful. So, does clearing Volatile Hives permanently decrease the number of them that spawn at night? And does the respawning of the Hives themselves revert that?

I'm loving the franchise so far. 1 is my favourite, 2 felt like an AU fever dream with great QoL, and so far The Beast has felt like what 2 was actually meant to be. But my god has the need to make everything live service killed the integral experience of story driven titles.

Challenge Mode Is Hard Enough On Jurassic Difficulty Without Glitches, But...

There's a mission request on the Badlands Challenge Map that states *specifically* "have 70 naturally bred dinosaurs *leave the nest*" and not "have 70 naturally bred dinosaurs *in the park*" and it's a *VERY* important distinction, given that - through Frontier's own definition, with the campaign and DLC objective requirements - the first one means "over your park's history" and the second one means "actively in your park; all at once".

Yet, the objective is programmed as the latter. Which means you need *70* naturally bred dinosaurs in your park *simultaneously*, while *also* maintaining the other Challenge objectives regarding species diversity, and the actual park itself.

Either Frontier meant to program the objective to work as an accumulation over time (the easier option), or they misphrased the objective, and you need them all there at once. (Which is ridiculous.) Regardless, they've made a potentially save breaking mistake for that map. *Especially* since it means finding huge work arounds to try to cope with *70 f&£king dinosaurs at least*, and not having that explicitly stated at the start of the challenge.

I'm at just over half that now, and the park is already struggling. I get that it's Jurassic difficulty, but this one is an absolute joke. Completing the Azores site challenge is easier than this, and that's potentially the most difficult one. I've got to be honest - there's been way more glitches and bugs in 3 that prove the previous installments were way more stable; this is just the latest one. Frontier have done pretty sloppy work regarding quality control with this one. Sure, it could just be a miscommunication, but if not, it's a pretty big bug to not have seen or patched.
