Kirkland smoked salmon at Costco has changed?
Has anyone else noticed that the Kirkland smoked salmon at Costco has changed?
I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area, and for years we’ve been buying the Kirkland smoked salmon every week. Until recently, the package said it was “produced in the Netherlands,” which I understood to mean it was made by Foppen.
This week, I noticed the packaging looks slightly different and now says “produced in Poland.” The ingredient list also seems different, and honestly, the taste is not the same. It does not taste like the Foppen product we’re used to.
Does anyone know if this switch is temporary, or if Costco has permanently changed suppliers for this item?
Also, has anyone seen the Netherlands-produced version at other Costco locations, or through other retailers like Sam’s Club?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
