Recommendations on Y´shtola Bracket 3 deck

Hey everyone,

I’m still relatively new to Commander and currently working on building a Y’shtola, Night’s Blessed deck. Before I actually buy the cards, I thought I’d ask for some feedback and improvement suggestions first :)

Our playgroup is usually around Bracket 2–3 level and we try to keep things relatively fair — so no crazy cEDH stuff or typical “gamechanger” cards. That said, some of my friends have started upgrading their decks pretty heavily lately, so I’d still like to keep up a bit.

Right now we have things like upgraded Temur Roar precons, Eldrazi decks, and FF decks like Cloud EX Soldier or Asuka at the table.

At the moment I already own an Ulalek deck and a lightly upgraded Mardu Storm deck, but I wanted to try something different and Y’shtola immediately stood out to me both gameplay-wise and flavor-wise.

I’d also like to keep the budget somewhat reasonable — we’re not really playing fully optimized mana bases or $100 dual lands.

I already put together a first draft, but as a newer player I’m still unsure if the deck is actually cohesive or if I’m trying to do too many things at once.

What I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

  • Which cards would you cut?
  • Which cards feel more “cute” than actually strong?
  • Is the deck missing anything important?
  • Any cards that work especially well with Y’shtola?
  • Are the lands, ramp, and card draw good enough?
  • What changes would you make to keep the deck at a solid Bracket 3 power level?

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback or suggestions 🙏
