I had an idea to incorporate sewing on a painting that is on canvas, and I was wondering if you all may have an idea of what to use for this. I'd like to use some kind of adhesive patch that acts as a stabilizer for the canvas so it doesn't tear when I sew it. I'll put it on the back of the canvas and sew through the front over the patch.

If anyone has any ideas about the best material to use for this, I'd be grateful to hear any.

Was asked to return, as apparently none of my responses recorded. Did this happen to anyone else? It was a mobile study. Worked hard on this one and there were issues during it, which I commented on during the study.
