Random thought just hit me. Luke and Leias pregnancy seemed to be a surprise. One would think a senator of Padmes level would have easy access to the best birth control. She doesn't seem the type that would abstain from birth control in a passionate moment given what would be on the line. So did it fail? Or did the force make it fail? Curious on thoughts and i doubt it's been covered anywhere in legends.
