Gold Pocketwatch
Looking for a bit of extra info about these marks on the inside of a gold pocketwatch I've recently come into.
- From what I can see, there's a crown at the top and 18 at the bottom, indicating it's likely 18 carat gold?
- There's what appears to be an embellished letter T on the left, which I would assume indicates a year but I've seen multiple dates from searching for this.
- Can't quite tell what symbol is on the right as it's so small. Looks like a tiny shield, but seeing other marks online it could be a worn-down Leopard Head symbol as the top bits are slightly pointy?
- The initials are just HB stamped at the top with no real indentation around them.
Unfortunately the outside is the only really intact part of it. The actual watch face is broken with no hands, and no real writing underneath.
Grateful if anyone knows a bit more about what these mean!
