Hoping someone can help, I’m out thrifting and saw something with these stamps. Do they indicate anything about this potentially being silver? Thank you so much for any input
Can anyone help me with a date on this knife? I can't figure it out. Thank you!
Looking for confirmation that this is Nickel Silver? It was my grandmother’s and is 16.5” across and 4.5lb. It has a lot of stamps on the back and I don’t know what any of them mean. Thanks in advance.
I bought this bucket from Goodwill for $25 and I cannot find the exact pricing for this bucket, after a little bit I could finally read the bottom “IS International Silver Co. Silver Soldered” but for the life of my I cannot find what this Hallmark, the big H with the circle around it, i’ve tried to find references for it by looking for other such H Hallmarks, I also have no idea what the numbers on the bottom mean.
through my jumping around town and calling a few places i’ve figured out that it is more than likely is made of brass and the outside and inside of the bucket is plated in Silver, and it’s sometime from the 1940s-1950s, and it’s either an Ice Bucket, or a Champagne Bucket, it’s tall, I took it to an antique shop and one man I took it too priced it at $65-70, it’s very heavy maybe 7lbs i don’t have my scale on me but i’m just trying to get some help to identify this Hallmark
Hi everyone,
I recently found these large antique shears. They have several distinct markings:
- "C. Bradford" engraved on the blade (sounds British or American?).
- "G.J." inside an oval under the screw.
- A caduceus/winged symbol with a small inspection stamp on the other side.
Does anyone recognize the manufacturer "G.J." or the specific winged stamp?
Any info on the era or origin would be highly appreciated!
Thanks!
Anyone have any ideas on this? The hook has a 925 stamp and then of course the ‘M’. Any help is appreciated.
Help pls :3
I’ve recently received this gold bracelet from my grandmother,.
I will get it looked at eventually, but does anyone have any idea of the marking mean or info on the jeweller?
Thanks!
*Edit - the box says ‘Conleys Jewellers’
I am struggling to identify the makers hallmark. The Diana has a 3 and an A so I do know it’s 800 silver and from Vienna. The other symbol though is driving me insane. Thanks!
From a house flipper estate clean out - went through all the costume jewelry and got one small sterling ring but also grabbed these earrings. The mark looks Asian but Google lens no help - told me twice they’re 14k 😂
If they’re junk no big deal I got a bunch of stuff for cheap so not concerned
Thanks !
Hi r/Hallmarks,
My father passed away a couple months back, and while clearing out his stuff I’ve found a bunch of stuff. One item in particular caught my eye.
This looks to be a quite old arabic teapot. But honestly I have no idea. Silver? Tin? Brass?
Handle, pipe and feet might be brass, but what about the container itself?
It has arabic writing at the bottom, but no other visual stamps or similar. Anyone here have an idea?
Best regards
Not sure what these hallmarks are, they are on a watch that is likely from the 1850s or 1860s, not even sure if the second one is hallmarks or dings, these are the only markings I could find on the chain
Edit: I learned more Thanks for the help. I was able to research further based on the info I got here.
This is a John Hart IONA Scottish Silver moss agate brooch from 1961.
I found this little folding knife at a thrift store today.
I think it’s sterling silver.
I received this from my late grandmother. With low conviction, I think it might be Japanese based on other furnishing in her home.
Things to note:
Appreciate any insight!
Any help with the exact reading of these British sterling marks?
Town-mark appears to be Exeter (I think). Can’t find any similar examples online.
Looking for some help on this. Looks like Arabic but never seen one like this before.
