Wait a minute that's not a half dollar.
Never even knew this coin existed. It's not silver but a cool find.

It really looks like coin silver. Before 1870 Gorham didn't use sterling or coin hallmarks. I don't see any indication it's plated. I posted it yesterday but this is a better up to date with closer photos and the hallmarks. I only paid $15 so at the end of the day it's not huge investment.
I saw this on the sidewalk curb earlier today. Someone pried it out, maybe a thief or the owner did this. I didn't see the brand but it definitely looks of low quality.
Does this mean silver plate or actual silver ?
I was surprised they didn't price this higher. This thrift shop scans and checks what comes in. Real silver is almost non existent but I guess today it was my lucky day.
Yes I know Ebay removes anything Cuba related due to the embargo that's still in effect. Even though these were minted at Philadelphia in 1948 when Cuba was still aligned with U.S. I used the title Caribbean peso and it still got flagged. Should I edit the Cuba word from the pictures and try it again ? I don't want to risk getting my account restricted. These are actually not mine. These belong to someone that had it stored away until now. He doesn't know too much about coins. I told him these two coins have premium over silver melt. Any thoughts or advice is strongly appreciated!
I picked up the last $80 worth another teller had and behold. Shiny proofs and other frosty non proof coins. No silver but thats fine, there are 2 old penny rolls as well.
I was at a antique shop earlier today and saw this. Is it heavy plating of iron ? Or a rare wrong planchet strike ? Unlikely but knowing how the mint has made many oddities in errors before.
This was taken shortly after the eastern portion after 121st closed for good in April /15/ 1985. Credit to the original photographer William Manghas.
Paid $3 for it and assuming it works. It's missing the blue cartridge. Any thoughts and opinions on this 8MB PS2 memory card, feel free to comment.
Has the notch on the R on the reverse. Weight is 5.2 grams. If it's in fact a Henning nickel... words cannot describe how excited I will get. I found it in a customer roll earlier today.
$5 quarter rolls is a first. Also the mint roll the both enders are obverse facing. Deciding if it should be opened 🤔. If I find anything I'll update in the comments.
Rich flavor and bitter as it should be. Simple ingredients water and coffee, no surgery taste detected.
I found (3) extra V 2023-P shield cents. Found (21) wheat cents and oldest being 1914-P. 1 foreign coin Canada 1940 penny and close to 5 Ib in copper Lincoln memorial cents.
The first photo appears to be French, maybe early 19th century and the second is a cup with unknown hallmarks. These appeared to be glazed in vermeil. It emits a garlic smell to the touch, maybe silver ?
I've found only two dimes and a cent before but a nickel is a first.
Single 64-D quarter out of $60 CWR. The 2 half dollars came out of a tellers tray.
