Ok so obviously I can’t legally release it BUT it’s connected to my internet and from there it pulls from a python server with my um own game ISO’s that I dumped. In theory (where there’s 0 legal ramifications) this works. As it works for me on my private internet. It allows you to download games/DLC straight from the PS2 to a HDD/SSD or USB.

Got this gem Ultimate Spider-Man Limited Edition complete with both manual and comic for $95 at my local retro game store! Runs like a dream and I finally have a memory card now that I’m an adult!

Don’t sleep on Jackass and The Sopranos, had way more fun with those than I would have imagined.

Just wish I had all the time in the world to play them 🥲

Bought this as 'untested', turns out they were telling the truth and it works! The image is not great as the cable I used was/is a massive POS, and the TV is Pal, whereas the machine is NTSC-J, but I don't care one bit, as this cost me £89! Which is insane considering working models are a lot more expensive.

Going to back it up, get it cleaned, inspect it and make sure everything functions, and then use it as it was intended. This is my absolute golden goose purchase, and I never thought I'd own one of these old beasties! :D

Got it all set up with my PS2 primarily using my own settings for PS2 w/PVM Scan lines and of course being played at 4:3 hooked up to an old 1080p HDTV I had lying around from the early 2010’s

After days of searching I found this gem and I am actually surprised what I got for 80 euros
36 games, with 3 controllers but one is not original and Fat Model which I was looking for

Finally gave my PS2 a new look!

I think the red and white logo turned out pretty cool. 🕷️🎮

Lost a lot of my collection to time, but luckily I held onto the guitars. I’m happy these discs are cheap enough, I should be able to complete my collection of “official ‘Guitar Hero’ releases” (*for PS2 only in North America)

My last disc buying activity was (in USD) 30.99 for Metallica and 21.99 for GH5 in 2021 from a brick n mortar store. This is when I discovered my ps2 (which is played regularly last in 2010-2011) was cooked.

Just got another ps2 and finally going to try my old and new games.

Just looking for Van Halen and Greatest Hits, I’ll have to find out if greatest hits has anything new or is only a recycle of gh1 tracks with the better game engine of later titles and included support for the whole rock band complement of toys (I only own guitars)

First of all, yes, nostalgia does play in a role here, I did grew up with it. But also, I just think it's neat how much closer it is to the movie in terms of story and levels. It just kinda feels like the PS3 version is a bit more loose, like the levels are just semi open world hubs with side quests to fulfill for you to progress the story instead being all story. This is just my opinion though

I have been wanting to visit some of the kid games I missed out on growing up.

These are the only kid games I own, and I played them to death when I was a kid.

So far I've gotten a copy of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie and Madagascar, and I'm wondering what else I should get.

By the way, Bully is my favorite video game of all time, but I didn't include it here because I don't really consider it a kids game, in case anyone was wondering :)

Posted my PS3 collection elsewhere and I felt inclined to now post my PS2 collection.

Same deal with my PS3 collection, I've had these games since childhood. Some are original prints. And the cases are packed away to save space in my tiny one bedroom apartment 🤣🤣🤣
