Had to move into a new rental, and I got around to setting up the whole collection again. Theres almost 2200 games here including platinum versions, special editions and demo discs too. Theres also a chandelier in the room, which i keep bumping my head into haha..
The details are a bit foggy, Im not sure if it was Statewide or not, but I worked at the Rockingham store in Western Australia and there was an instore promotion for staff members, and I had won! The more I think about it, the more I feel it was statewide within Dick Smith stores. I know other retailers had the same promotion so there must be a finite amount of these blazers floating around, but its cool that almost 20 years later I still have this in my cupboard!
Here's some new Japanese titles added to the collection. I'm in awe with the Final Fantasy XII International Job System sleeve, it looks gorgeous! There's also the PS2 Linux but the Beta Release 1. Mister Mosquito 2, Parappa the Rapper 2 - the voices are all in English. An odd Make Your Dream Home game plus a whole bunch more! Its crazy to think ive barely put a dent into the japanese library...
Now I understand there was a US version of this game, didn't know at the time, so i had to play the copy I owned which was in Japanese. I had a neat little setup with my phone stand on a stack of PS2 games so it was perfectly lined up with the text and i could read out the translated text. Ofcourse it wasn't perfect, but I definitely got most of the story understood. The gameplay was quite fun, being able to fight enemies with an assortment of gadgets you can transform into weapons. My favorite was the spiky ball you can light on fire. The ending was very tragic and sad, I was choking up as I was reading quite a sad part towards the end, holding it together so I can finish it. Overall I had a great time playing this game, never watched the anime but the premise of it sounds pretty good!

As normal, a bunch of new Japanese titles alongside some more PAL titles and luckily found another US title in the wild. This brings my current total to 2,043 - almost 45% of the entire PS2 library!
Here's a game that you could technically call beaten once you play through a single arcade mode. But I didnt do that. I played through all 7 characters arcade modes, beat all 51 missions and also beat a survival mode with Donatello. Now, I'm not really a fan of the turtles. I never grew up watching them, and just never really found them interesting. But I did enjoy this game. Its sort of like smash bros with turtles characters. Unfortunatley this is very lackluster compared to the wii version. It seems alot of content was cut for the PS2 release. But it was still enjoyable. Oh, and everyone asks this too, who's your favorite turtle? Well I guess mine will have to be Donatello.

Its weird how this and God of War came out so close to each other. Although the stories are different, they have many similarities - Spartans, Romans, Ares... But this is not as good as God of War, but still good in its own way. The combat in this game is fast-paced and brutal. It can also be very tough if you're surrounded by enemies and have little health left. There are parts of this game that are frustrating as hell - I'm sure many people who played this would shiver if I mentioned the Archimedes escort mission. Overall, if you want a fun action game where you slaughter hundreds of enemies and is veeeeerrryyy loosely based on historical things, play this game.

Here is another game i went back to in order to play through it properly. I played through the entire World Tour mode and reached rank #1! As you can see by the obvious Word Art and trophy, I became the King of Hustler. Now the game itself is fine, there's nothing wrong with it. Im fact, its up there as one of the better Phoenix Games titles - but that's not really something to be proud of... But this is another game ticked off the in progress / to beat properly list.

10 endings, 1 final boss, alot of repetition. So I went into this expecting jankyness and I got it. The PS2 version of this runs terrible sometimes, with awful framerate stutters at times. Overall though I didn't mind it. It was fun at times, but honestly some of the voice lines were repeated so many times it was horrible!! I couldn't imagine the torture it would be to try and get every named ending (326 endings). But i got the true ending where you fight against Devil Doom as Super Shadow.

Got more japanese titles, including Love Mahjong and Seaman! I found an American title in the wild here in Australia, and just a couple more PAL titles increasing the total count of PS2 games to 2,034!
Its done, Its over. After 168hrs, this damned game is finally finished, and I'm glad that it is now done. I started this game is July of 2025, and for 10 months I've been beating each of the 7 characters storylines. Knowing the absolute pain this game is, I split them up - so when I beat a character, I beat other games in my challenge, and then after about 3 games I'd go back to Unlimited SaGa. I understand that some people like this game, but I am in the overwhelming group of people that dislike it. The confusing systems, the absolute overuse of RNG, the slot machine style mechanics FOR. EVERYTHING. GOD. DAMN. THING. In japan, this game came with a strategy guide - which would help with this game and probably why the game was well received there. But for western releases, we were not given such a luxury. Luckily I was told some tips before going into this, as if I wasn't - it would probably still be struggling with its ridiculous complexity. Also, the credits for this game will only roll once you have beaten the game with all 7 characters!

This was my first time playing this game, and I had been told many times that this game was great. I actually have a fun time with it, just a casual adventure platformer style game with collectibles. As someone who hasn't really watched spongebob properly, only a few episodes and the movie, a few of the references really went over my head - otherwise I was laughing quite a bit. Its a shame Clancy Brown didn't voice Mr Krabs in this one, he sounded so out of place haha. I tried to go for 100 golden spatulas, ended on 95/100 but the remaining ones were just the collectibles socks and shiny things so I didn't want to grind all those for the other 5. Happy to reached the credits andbeating every level anyway.

Game #507 - Buccaneer - Beaten!
Well this was an interesting title. Originally this game was released in Japan in the Simple 2000 Series lineup of games, eventually getting ported to the PAL region. The gameplay is very straightforward, slash through groups of enemies, collect treasures and fight the boss at the end of the level. There's an overworld of sorts as you go around an ocean filled with ghost ships, but you only need to encounter the red ships as they move along the story. There's not much variety when it comes to the enemies - Skeletons, Zombies & Ghosts. Everything is pretty easy to take care of, but Ghosts are just unfair with their energy balls they fire at you. The final boss in this game was an absolute pain and some of its attacks hit hard and have a massive range on it. Overall though the game was fine, I enjoyed it and I'd recommend it if you enjoy hack and slash games!
Game #509 - Zone of the Enders - Beaten!
This game was something I was looking forward to for awhile and it finally came along on the Wheel! The game itself was very fun, the battles were cool too with the boss battles being awesome! I only played it on the normal difficulty so it wasn't too hard, but there were still a few times that i got wiped out. The story was alright but I was expecting it to be a bit more... and with expecting it to be a bit more, the game itself was way shorter than i was expecting! I was really expecting to fight Anubis with the way they introduced the fight, but then the credits rolled... i guess I'll eventually get around to ZoE2: 2nd Runner and finish the story! Highly recommend this game this game though, and the music is very good.
