First, there are many, many PS2 games I love and enjoy playing the most. Second, even though I have many favorites, here are the 20 of my favorite PS2 games, and I want to take the time to appreciate them

My childhood dream setup is finally done.
Silver SCPH-5000x fat model
2TB HDD inside, full library via OPL - no more scratched discs
Playing wirelessly with a PS3 controller through that little BT adapter on the front
The thing with the screen is a MemCard PRO 2 - basically infinite virtual memory cards
It feels so good to have no cables, fast loading, and the whole PS2 library at my fingertips. This is honestly the best way to play PS2 in 2026.

Had to move into a new rental, and I got around to setting up the whole collection again. Theres almost 2200 games here including platinum versions, special editions and demo discs too. Theres also a chandelier in the room, which i keep bumping my head into haha..

After my Wolverine PS2, I’ve now finished my second custom PS2 project. 😄

Originally, I was planning to recreate the Spider-Man PS5 design, but in the end I decided to go in a different direction and create something of my own.

I still had a few old Spider-Man comics lying around, and I thought: wouldn’t it be cool if the PS2 itself looked like one of those old comics?

So I completely disassembled the PlayStation, cleaned everything, sanded the case and gradually applied the different comic pages to the individual panels. Once everything was in place, I sealed it and finished the whole console with several coats of glossy clear coat.

I also wanted to add something special to the top, so I mounted a McFarlane Spider-Man figure to the case. I didn’t want the figure to be permanently attached though, so I made the mount removable. I figured out the right position, drilled a hole and installed a threaded insert into the top panel. Then I bent the figure’s original support rod into the position I wanted and cut a thread into it. This way I can simply screw Spider-Man on or remove him whenever I want.

I know this design is pretty specific and definitely won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. 😄 But I thought I’d share it with you anyway!

I’m always open to constructive criticism, suggestions and especially ideas for the next project.

Because there’s already a third PS2 sitting here waiting to be modified. 😂

I recently replayed Shadow of Destiny on the PS2 and forgot how crazy this game is. You literally die in the first two minutes, get handed a time travel device, and have to jump back and forth through time to stop your own murder. There’s zero combat—it's just pure mystery, time travel puzzles, and talking to townsfolk to figure out who keeps coming after you.

What blows my mind is that it had 8 completely different endings back in 2001. Changing one tiny thing in the past actually alters the town in the present, and every ending reveals a whole new piece of the story. Honestly, Konami made a total masterpiece with this one. It was way ahead of its time and easily one of the most underrated games on the PS2. Well Im happy tho, people talks about it more now....

Also you can give some suggestions for the games that have the same vibes.
