Went to a huge garage sale event yesterday and I found these! (I haggled the price down a bit and for both of these, it was $25. $10 for Sonic, $15 for Spiderman)

Trying to rebuild a PS2 collection again since PlayStation doesn’t wanna do physical media anymore after 2028. Made me think about going back to my favorite childhood console, the PS2.

Anything else I should add to the collection or be on the lookout for?

It seems I can't find the right place for this little guy inside my ps2 slim. Could somebody help me out? No matter how I try, it always ends up being loose or skewed. Thanks in advance!

Now I must restock my games. I had ps2 growing up. Still have a few games. 3 controllers and a/v cables. The system I don’t have anymore but, just found 2 for a bargain.

i recently bought a reshelled ps2 with scarface . The ps2 works im assuming since it turns on and restarts . but scarface the game isnt loading past the loading screen, i tried everything tbh . any ideas?

Hey, does anybody know what could be the issue here, please?

Console starts spinning fans on power on, but won’t output video and power light is flashing green.

Nothing besides power cable is connected in the video, flashing doesn’t stop even after 5 minutes. It behaves the same as when all is connected (dualshock, fmcb card, mX4sio, ssd in expansion bay)

I have started using the console after like 10 years again last week.

Since picking it up again, console has been powered on like 20 times in total and had about 2 hours of run time, playing games for like 15 minutes (rest was setting up opl and such). The weather was a bit hotter last week, but I didn’t play any games, so I doubt anything got burnt.

It had a modchip, where I cut the power off (it was causing mess with fmcb), some old killinx chip - console ran just fine after that.

Can’t test the disc tray, it doesn’t work.

3 PlayStation 2 slim satin silver. 2 can't read discs and one of them can. Can they be sold for 70-80€

Found this photo of me and my cousin as kids playing some Ps2, but i have no idea what game we were playing. I don't remember anything about it, all i have is this photo. Im thinking it's some split screen plataformer of some kind, i guess im dead hence why half the screen is black

Edit: There is a high chance it was not a split screen game but actually the black half of the screen is due to it being a CRT TV

I have a ps2 to hdmi converter, I have placed it where it needs to be, and connected it where it needs to be. Its connected to tv. Tv says no device on.

I watch videos saying blindly press down, x, down, down, down, left, x and nothing is working.

If anyone can help that would be much appreciated

What battery does this wireless PS2 controller use? It's a generic controller, and where can I buy one?

For some reason camera is locked blocking half of my vehicle. I’m playing on PS2 and on my previous play sessions, I didn’t have this issue. I have set the screen sizes and all properly, so it’s most likely some game quirk. Appreciate any help.

I brought my PS2 Slim out of storage to play some legacy games but after a while there is a distinct noise coming from the console. It comes from the right side of the unit and only after extended game play.

It was bought new in the early 2000's where it was used without any issues and put into storage for the past 15years. I opened the case and cleaned the fan but I still get the noise issue and I thought someone here may know what may be is causing this or at least know what to check.

I filmed a brief video to document the sound it is making. It sounds like it maybe the disk drive but the game play doesn't really lag. Oh, please excuse the heavy Darth Vader type breathing in the background.
