I'm trying to find good PlayStation 2 games or GameCube games that are open world games
I want a game that I can turn my mind off and just like fly around the city really fast with my superhero
I have Spider-Man 2 but I would like to play other games
I also don't like to really fight when I'm trying just a free room so if you can think of any suggestions that be helpful thank you

Same deal with my PS3 collection, I've had these games since childhood. Some are original prints. And the cases are packed away to save space in my tiny one bedroom apartment 🤣🤣🤣

I have this ps2 Slim and I recently discovered that problem where the flatband can cause scratching on the dvd's. I Mean its not too exposed but not fully slammed to the consoles Shell. I know that It allows the laser movement but Im kinda scared. I heard someone that put tape to level It up. Could you tell me If Im doomed or not? If so is there any Simple fix that workes for you? Hi everyone, I’m 16 and from Russia. For a long time, I’ve really wanted to buy discs for the PS2 and Xbox so I can enjoy that 2000s gaming era. I’m a huge fan of The Punisher—I even bought a T-shirt with his logo—so getting the game disc is a top priority for me right now. Discs are expensive and hard to find where I live. I wanted to order from eBay, but shipping costs are huge due to sanctions, and the price of the discs themselves—when converted to rubles—comes to a significant amount. Do you have any tips on where and how I could get my hands on these discs?

Hello. After a long time I made another Custom case PS2 Slim 90004.
Just got my PS2 HDD setup pretty much finished and now I’m looking for a good theme for OPL.
What’s everyone using these days? Looking for something that looks clean and modern but still feels like a PS2 rather than being overly flashy.
I’ve downloaded Prime and Advance to try so far.
What theme would you recommend, and if you’ve got screenshots of your setup, stick them up! 🎮

I recently ran the soft mod to make my 70k model ps2 region free. I ran it initially and it would get past the ps2 check screen, but never boot the game.
When i read up on what might cause this it said that the version of fcmb I had may not be the crossregion install. Seeing this, i got the install files and made a new card with the cross region version installed on it.
I reset my ps2 back to the stock settings via mechapwn and then ran the process again.
Same issue.
Does anyone have any insight as to what could be causing this?
Looking for some opinions on what people would realistically value this setup at before I sell it.
It’s a PAL PS2 Fat SCPH-39003 that I’ve cleaned up and set up as a pretty much plug-and-play HDD system.
Included:
• PS2 Fat SCPH-39003• 500GB Seagate internal HDD• 100+ games installed and set up through OPL• 64MB memory card with Free McBoot 1.966• Separate 16MB MAX Memory card for saves• GameStar HDD/network adapter• Controller• Component YPbPr cable• Composite AV cable• Component-to-HDMI converter for modern TVs• All required power/connections
The internal CMOS battery has also been replaced and the console has been cleaned.
OPL is set up as “HDD Games” on the Free McBoot menu, so it's straightforward to use — boot the console, select HDD Games and choose a game.
The HDD has a fairly big library already set up, including Gran Turismo 4, GTA San Andreas/Vice City/III, God of War I & II, Silent Hill 2/3/4, Shadow of the Colossus, Def Jam: Fight for NY, Kuon, Futurama, Manhunt 1 & 2, Resident Evil 4, The Warriors, Bully, Burnout 3, BLACK, Scarface, The Getaway, PES 5 and plenty more.
Everything has been tested and is working.
I know standard PS2 Fats aren't particularly expensive, but I'm unsure how much value people would put on one that's already cleaned, has a new CMOS battery, HDD adapter, 500GB drive, FMCB, OPL and the rest of the setup ready to go.
What would you guys consider a fair selling price for the complete bundle in the UK?
Hey Reddit. I recently did a refurbish on my PS2. Caps replaced (since I was already in there), thermal pads replaced, dust and dirt cleaned, etc. I also added a RetroGEM and Noctua fan mod.
The cage for the hard drive had a half dollar sized chunk of rust on it. I soaked it in some Evaparust and got rid of it after some scrubbing.
How do I prevent it from rusting in the future? My fear with cold dip galvanizing (spray) is that particles will start falling off and circulating with the cooling fan running. I tried electro galvanization, but it didn't take well and I fear it will also just flake off inside my PS2.
What are some suggestions to deal with potential rusting in the future?
