I received full rolls of brand new Mayflower quarters during a recent pickup. Should I just open them and dump them in the coin machine or is there a demand for these out there?
Searching my first box of nickels and found my first war nickel. No great condition but still an exciting find.
Looks to have some tape on it but so pumped!!
I’ve now got a war nickel, Buffalo, and V in the first few rolls of a fresh box. Excited to see what else comes out of this.
Over the past couple years I’ve accumulated 124$ worth of 2024P, and 50 cents 2024D
2 rolls were deposited on my off day. A co worker held them for me. I tried to give her some but she didnt want anything at all.I didnt think this would ever happen to me.
Convinced my bank, as a non business owner to sell me some boxes. Felt like it dang near took an act of congress for them to say yes. There was supposed to be a box of halves but someone went in yesterday asking for a box and they gave it to him thinking it was me. They do not sell coins to non business accounts. So they ordered me a box for the mix up.
Got to talking with bank teller about the halves and she said that all the tellers at her branch anytime 1964 or earlier come in they walk them over to her counter. She buys them. Said that she was on vacation a few weeks ago and some brought in a coin collection and her coworkers saved her all the halves and she bought 100 dollars in 90 percenters.
Maybe it’s time I think about a new career as a bank teller.🤣🤣
Been through three $500 bags of quarters and finally got a couple keepers. 😊
Finally posting my search results to my own sub. Huge thanks to u/counterstampkarl for sharing it.
All around pretty solid results. All of the silver halves came out of CWR's except 1 40% in the Loomis boxes. It seems like the silver has dried up a bit in the boxes as I'm sitting at 1.78 silver halves per box (excluding the 28 boxes of pure 2024d).
My favorite finds were the Columbus commemorative half and my first 2026 coins! Can't believe I found a P&D set in the same bag.
For those curious about the counterstamp coins, here is a link I posted a while ago. Short story is I'm seeing how long it takes to get them back in circulation. This makes the 11th coin out of 673 that has returned home, but I'm still getting plenty that aren't stamped.
Now for the fun part, returning $4,460 in change. How many boxes of donuts should I bring with me?
Edit: forgot to mention the 1971 & 1973 are electroplated.
2014 Everglades S Quarter

Wish me luck! I will post if I find anything, if I dont post then you know lol! 🤣🥲
Busted open a box of pennie’s and had over 300 wheat cents in it. A few other finds, too

I just found a bank that would order me all the pennies I want. I started with two boxes and just did a quick search of the ends. It looks like I'm already 10 cents ahead, with a dime ender, and a loose penny.
This is my second dime over 100 years old (1916 was the first) and my third dime pre 1937 (1929 as well). Not sure if that is dirt or tarnish but the dark area on the reverse looks like a burn mark maybe?
