What to do with unexpected windfall of $600?

I came into an unexpected windfall of $600. I consider it play money. My wife and I were playing with the idea of just putting it all in lotto tickets but we don’t know much about the lottery. Any suggestions? Should I just buy a bunch of Powerball tickets? Or maybe one of those $1k/day or $10k/week for life options if the odds are better (which would still be life changing)? Otherwise might just try some 0DTE options 🤣. Any advice would be helpful!

Finally a winner in NY

Bought the same ticket #22 from the same roll 2 days ago and it was a looser. Got the next ticket #23 and won $150. I can’t believe no one had bought that ticket in 2 days, it’s a busy store.

Powerball tonight $113M — what numbers are you playing?

Monday's draw was 4, 13, 34, 61, 65 + PB 12. No jackpot winner but someone in Virginia hit the $2M Match 5 + Power Play prize! Tonight's $113M draw is looking interesting — last draw skewed high again (61, 65), so I'm watching some lower numbers tonight. Numbers I'm watching: 7, 22, 38, 47, 53 + PB 19 What are you playing tonight? QP or self-pick?

Only bought 2 ten dollar tickets and both hit. Back to back winners really shocked me. $20 in and $250 out. I did something I never did before…

I took my winnings and ran! I cashed them in and bought groceries, filled up my gas tank and bought myself some flowers. Usually I just gamble it away and hate myself for it. I’m so proud of myself.

Discarded tickets in the trash

Are there any legal ramifications from taking tickets out of the trash and entering them into the state lottery app for points/second chance drawings etc? Yesterday someone must have went on a buying rampage. There were over $600 worth of tickets in the trash. Got over 5K points on the lottery app with those!

Draws vs Scratchers Delaware

Currently testing draws vs. scratchers. I’ve had way better luck at 7-Eleven and horrible luck with Wawa scratchers.

What tactics do you guys use? And is buying full books actually worth it with the 1:4 odds?

(Looking to hear from Delaware players, but all input is welcome.)

Powerball tonight $100M — numbers I'm watching after Saturday's draw

Saturday's numbers were 8, 37, 40, 44, 65 + PB 18. No jackpot winners which means the pool keeps growing into tonight's $100M draw. A few things I noticed ,the numbers skewed high last draw (40, 44, 65), so I'm keeping an eye on some lower/mid range numbers tonight. Also 18 as the Powerball is interesting, it hasn't shown up in a while before that. Numbers I'm watching tonight: 12, 23, 36, 51 and PB 9. Anyone else doing analysis before tonight's draw? What are you playing?

If you only play the lottery, do you feel accurately represented by broad "gambling participation" stats? Why or why not?

Hi, quick question for people who only play the lottery.

I’m working on a piece about how gambling participation stats are often discussed in headlines and public reports. I’m curious whether lottery-only players actually feel represented by those broad numbers.

If you only play the lottery and don’t use other gambling products, do you feel like those stats describe you fairly? Or do they lump together people with very different habits?

Interested in honest answers from your own perspective. Thanks.

Dreams

Every time I dream of my ex, bf his numbers come out. It usually doesn’t come the same morning after, but later in the week.

LKs’ numbers were:

4740, 4940, 6917, 727

I’m scared to play them for fear of losing my little bit of money

So I’m giving them to yinz hoping someone has some 🍀 luck
