Looking for a better workflow for bespoke joinery shop drawings (AutoCAD is becoming a bottleneck)

How do you handle revisions for bespoke joinery & cabinets shop drawings ?

I run a joinery manufacturing and installation company in Dubai, mainly doing bespoke furniture for offices, restaurants, and residential projects.

My current workflow is SketchUp (from the designer) → AutoCAD for shop drawings.

The biggest issue is revisions. Even a small design change means manually updating plans, elevations, sections, dimensions, and annotations, which takes a lot of time.

I'm curious what workflow everyone else is using.

  • Are you still using AutoCAD, or have you switched to another software?
  • Is there a workflow where one design change automatically updates all drawings?
  • What software has genuinely saved you the most time for bespoke joinery?
