I’ve got a 2008 2.0 TSI GT, and unfortunately I got my wing mirror stolen (only the sound absorber was left).
I’ve scouted eBay but there’s no listing for the power folding , puddle light inclusive ones, and here comes my question:
Were the wing mirrors used in other models such as the EOS or the Passat CC? Could I buy one from those models and easily plug and play without any coding?

My circumstances changed lately and I managed to
obtain a fully remote job and relocated right in the city centre, eliminating the need to commute.
At the moment, my 2.0TSI Scirocco developed a random misfire, sometimes even becoming non-responsive to throttle, and I’ve just had a stressful experience with constant things that required attention.
I’ve been toying with the idea of downgrading to a Honda CRZ, as I quite like their styling, cheaper insurance/tax/running costs and I’ve heard from reviews that they’re very engaging to drive despite all of this.
Or, another option would be to sacrifice the hatchback versatility and go for something like an NC MX5, as a lot of people preach good things about the car and realistically I don’t have 4 people in the car that often.
What would you do? Would you sink more money into the VW or choose one of the two cars? Or something else entirely?
