Desert Tan more like Choclate Brown

Desert Tan more like Choclate Brown

Look I know getting into the various tan/bwown gun colors you can get into “50 shades of FDE” territory pretty easily.

But this is kind of ridiculous lol

Kind of wish I went with black if the body was going to be that different then the tail buttons. Edit: well okay it’s kind of funny, it’s growing on me like that but still that is NOT desert tan lol

Any Grips That add a "trigger guard"?

When using my Steam Controller I've noticed that often I will ride up on the controller with my middle fingers such that on occasion I will have my finger be able to be pinched (not hard) by L2 and R2. I have shorter thumbs so it tends to feel natural to grip even higher than most probably do, and it's an easy enough thing to correct when it happens, but it would still be nice to have something more ergonomic to prevent it.

Are there any grips that add a ledge or any material to the base of the trigger guard to discourage my hand from creeping up?

Ronin 4.25 9mm NATO issues? Help figuring out problems?

Recently picked up a Ronin 4.25 9mm (stripped and lubed prior to range). I had heard that when it comes to a 9mm 1911 it's best to start with hotter rounds to get the high points worked in a little better.

I had this cheap Monarch 9mm NATO (BPS I believe - yeah yeah, I know cheap ammo) laying around so I put about 50 rounds through the gun with it. The gun would fail to return to battery, and feel almost like the spring wasn't in tension when I'd try to push the slide the last bit of the way. It would also do light primer strikes with very little striking at all, almost like it didn't hit the primer really, and it'd take a few hits to get some rounds off. The slide would also get stuck shut, taking a pretty strong pull to free.

When I switched over to 115 grain FMJ ammo afterwards (PPU) it performed flawlessly. For the next 70 rounds.

Taking it apart I noticed some heavy wear on the recoil spring plug where it rests below the bushing. My current theory is that the NATO was way too much for the factory recoil spring and that it's more regulated for SAAMI regular pressure 9mm. I also suspect that perhaps the slide was just slightly out of battery during those "light primer strikes", the force of the hammer being dissipated by trying to close the slide that last little bit. As for the slide feeling stuck closed, I'm not sure.

Does this behavior track with issues of not having enough recoil spring for the load? I bought this for a carry gun and was hoping to run +p after breaking it in a bit but now I'm not sure if I'm looking for a recoil spring replacement first. Thoughts, alternative theories?
