Do I have to worry about a “note”
I work the OFA department and a couple days ago I had stayed 30 min past my shift to help finish up a flat delivery that was going out the next day and I did not want to leave my coworker alone. Pretty sure everyone can relate with how crazy and busy it has been recently. But I have been constantly pulled around as one of the only machine drivers in the store.
Originally I was told to clean an isle by a manager in lumber which is where we store our larger orders such as box and flat deliveries. Basically make it look better as it was all disorganized. I had told him I would get to it but that I was busy with orders. So when I had left for the day I had mentioned that I stayed past my shift and apologized because I wasn’t able to clean but I did finish the big flat deliveries. The next day I was talked to by another manager and was told that a “note” was left in my account as I didn’t clean the isle like I was told to. I told them how busy we were and how we couldn’t get around to it. But all I was told was “well it’s there now”. It’s honestly a bit disheartening to be told that and have the fact that I stayed later overlooked. Because now I feel like no matter what I do or prioritize I’ll get reprimanded either or.
Is a “note” bad or do I not have anything to worry about? Is it like the write ups where they’ll only last 6 months?
