Hit me with your best/most likely season 8 trivia questions (with answers please!)

I’m going to a trivia night tonight. I watch the show every night before bed, but always stop after season 7 and start back at 1. I only have very basic season 8 knowledge (I know Amy and Jake’s son’s name, I know that Pappy Boyle’s death was an accident, I know where everyone ended up by the end of the series.) Trivia will span the whole series so I do expect most of it to cover 1-7 since 8 wasn’t as widely popular. Just want to cover bases and learn what else I may need to know from that one season! Thanks!

A friend of mine (34F) has been with her husband (34M) since high school. They’re happy together but she is struggling with how codependent their relationship is. I’m (32F) looking for ways to support her in trying to find her individuality. How best can I help?

As the title says, a friend of mine has been struggling a lot recently with how codependent her marriage is. She has unpacked a lot of this in therapy and is very self-aware that she wants to find herself as her own person. As her friend who hasn’t been in a relationship for the past few years and is VERY comfortable doing things on my own, I’m looking for ways I can help support her in this since my comfort level is obviously significantly different than hers. We go out to organized events (trivia, bingo, craft nights, etc) together a few times a month without her husband and she has fun! But if we don’t do that, she ends up just staying home with her husband. When her and I do go out, her husband just sits at home waiting for her. He obviously has his own things to unpack as outside of myself, his wife, and one of our other mutual friends, her husband literally doesn’t have friends. However the focus here is my friend. How can I help her build her self confidence to try things alone? Obviously I’m kind of a crutch right now too, but going out to community events is still getting her a little closer to her goal than just staying home with her husband. Thanks for any insight!

Preparing for a trivia night…hit me with your most difficult or obscure questions/answers!

As someone who rewatches constantly and uses the show to fall asleep every night and has since 2018, I think I’ll do okay. But I still want to try some more obscure questions! *Especially* ones about season 8 - I’ve only watched it once since it aired (on rewatches I go through season 7 and then start at 1 again) and though I’ll watch it again before trivia night, I want to have a better idea. Thanks, all!

Podcast/article/book recs?

Hi! I’m new to following the team (and hockey in general) so am on the hunt for podcasts to listen to and/or books and articles to read ahead of the season.

Brief backstory: my brother has been a die hard Sens fan since we were kids. We’re in our 30s now. We were not close growing up but are making an effort to change that now and an easy place to start is the Sens. He still lives in my hometown, I moved to Ottawa in 2021 and have been to a few games. I plan and hope to go to many this year. My goal is to know enough by the time the season starts that I can contribute to our conversations in more ways than just asking questions, and that by the time he comes to visit I’m comfortable enough following the on ice action to comment on how the game in front of us is going. Right now I struggle a bit because it’s so fast and I have a hard time tracking the puck.

Thanks, all!
