Beautiful Girlhood book

I was thinking about this book my mom gave me to read as an assignment when I was a teenager called Beautiful Girlhood. It talked about girls being allowed to go out in public in these modern times, about how if a man sees your bare arms and hears another man comment on it he's been defiled and it's your fault, and how a daughter should let her father make decisions for her. She also gave me a companion guide that I never used. Anyhow I was wondering if this was anyone else's "guidance" for growing up.
