After a long wait on the auction I won a prototype 256 Ferret (256 win mag) prototype bolt action m1 carbine from the personal collection of the owner/former president of universal firearms

After a 2 year Hiatus pending work on my rifle and hunting down an OEM mag to help, I am reviving my efforts to create a New Manufactured Magazine for the 256 Ferret (256 Win Mag) M1 carbines from Universal. The goal is to be able to produce lower cost magazines that function flawlessly.

Several reasons exist why these mags are rare:

1. While normal m1 carbine mag fit, they don't work for 256 Win Mag. The ammo is rare enough when people go thru their deceased loved ones collection they can't verify and a normal m1 carbine mag fits.

2. They were made of plastic in the 60's -70's

3. They were never manufactured in large quantities
