I’ve been ordering from UberEats for years and years, never had a problem with a driver (except once a driver dropped my food off at the wrong location and I never did get it).

I order from UberEats probably 2-4x a week (I also order for my elderly in-laws) and I always tip my drivers AFTER I get my order (I’ve never understood tipping beforehand because how do I know if they’ve done a good job until I actually get my food?) Anyways this has never been an issue and I normally get a “thank you for the tip” message later that day.

Placed an order today and got a message almost immediately from a driver saying “Zero tip for me. Zero service for you.”

Is this a thing? Is a driver even allowed to say that to a customer? Are they able to see an order aka the delivery route and the tip before they take it? I’m very put off by this driver demanding a tip that he was already going to get afterwards anyways.

What would you do in this situation?

Not that it matters but it’s also a very short delivery, less than 2 miles away.

Anyone that is putting money into the RDSP, do you know if we get to keep the grant/bonds that the government matches from our contributions?

So say we contribute $50,000 over the years and they match that, once we are 60 and can withdraw from it, do we have $100,000 in total?

TYIA.
