well this is a first

well this is a first

i had a crazy sweet tooth and ordered a dunkin chiller, anyways the directions on my order say to leave downstairs in front of the apartment complex because i go pick it up myself, but this time i noticed the driver was taking an awful long time to deliver this drink so i got a bit concerned. i waited out until i got the confirmation of delivery and it was some random door in my complex. so now i had to spend a good fifteen minutes trying to locate which floor and which door my coffee was left at…. mind you i never put my apartment number in the notes and my name isn’t on any mailbox downstairs like what could’ve prompted this? i’m a UE driver myself and i can’t imagine what was going through dude’s head lol

I feel that uber is taking the extra tip. I seen 0.75 or 1,50 on fare but when i get extra tip is only 20¢30¢ there is mo way customers are tipping that

Uber Eats has reached a new all-time low: repeatedly offering the same order while incrementally raising the cost by only pennies at a time

Words cannot describe how disgusting and unacceptable this is. My acceptance rate has dropped to 2% today and will probably be at 1% by end of day. Look at the time in the top corner to see just how frequently I’m getting this same offer. And look at how at some point I get it offered to me again at a penny less instead of more.

I have been repeatedly screenshotting this particular order, but have been offered other orders multiple times as well so it’s been compounding. Yesterday I had posted about getting the same order multiple times until all of a sudden the trip value double or tripled and others said they experienced the same; today it looks like they tweaked the system to only up the offer by pennies until some poor dumb or desperate soul finally decides to take it.

The repeated pinging is annoying enough, but seeing the same order for an insulting amount of money over and over again makes me want to rage quit. Screw this company for thinking they can do this to us and get away with it.

Order cancelled when 4 minutes away.

For absolutely no reason. Order was picked up. They were 4 minutes from drop off. No issues with road closures or anything. I tipped in the app and added that there would be an addition cash tip. What the hell.

App told me to deliver a bag of veggie groceries to a mattress store, waited at mattress store for 10 minutes, I got told that was the wrong address and that I was supposed to deliver 2 miles away

I left the bag of groceries at the location that Uberinstructed me to leave it at. Because I don’t want to work unpaid mileage given I’m on a classic bicycle and have to manually pedal . Basically when i got to the mattress which was the apps delivery location, the customer told me to call some old guys number to tel him to pick it up, so being a good Uber Eats deliverer who goes above and beyond, I typed in the number and called the guy. The guy was elderly. I told him to come outside . 5 minutes pass, nothing. The pin is about to expire. So I call the guy, and he says where am I, I say I’m at the mattress firm at the Bergenfield shopping complex, he says “ that’s not where I am. I live 2 miles away near coopers pond. U got the address wrong.”. Then he hangs up. I double check the app, it says delivery location mattress firm, so I ask the woman on the text for the pin and she gives me it, I put it in and press item delivered. But now I’m confused and scared. Is the old guys going to report me or give me a thumbs down? If I had an e bike or a car I would have gone the extra 2 miles, but this is a heavy bag of many fruits, and the app promised me the trip was half a mile , that’s why I even accepted it, I never except orders over 2 miles . But I’m tired, and I don’t want to work for free here, this app already barely pays us much for the work we do. So I go on to the next order. The guy calls me again, and I decided to not answer.

What should I do guys? I feel very awkward because obviously I have to follow the instructions from the app. I mean I did tell the guy exactly where I dropped off his order, it’s a short drive across town. Idk man. I just don’t wanna get in trouble

Cancellation trap: Uber took all my money without delivery

I cancelled my order immediately after I placed the order, but Uber still took all my money. I thought, okay, if you don't refund me, at least deliver the order. Then I realized that there isn't such an option. I can't even cancel the cancellation. I can't even speak to a human agent about this. Be careful about the cancellation trap.

UberEats sucks.

I ordered sushi. The delivery guy was being very responsive at first before he handed my food, he was clearly able to speak and understand english. He then asked for my code before handing my food which i gave, next minute he drops my food on the floor. After this i’m asking him if he can report it as an incomplete order or something like that but suddenly he starts acting like he cant speak english. I took a picture of the food on the floor and when he saw me pull out my phone he just left. I told him to wait and he said he had another order to complete.

I went to uber eats and they’re just telling me my order is not refundable. I’m really pissed off. The food was not cheap, I had a hard day at work just to come back to this happening. Cant even get a hold of the restaurant because their number isnt activated, neither can i speak to an actual human being with Uber Eats.

What do i do now?

Genuine question

So I usually use DoorDash but Uber Eats offered a better offer and I don’t know much about it. I know DoorDash tells you when your ordered is stacked with others, does Uber Eats do the same? My delivery driver said he had another order but the app says nothing about that.

Why say bike when in a car?

Curious of why this might be and if I should ignore it or not. Ordered food - app said the person was coming on a bicycle - we’re in a heatwave - I watched on the map and was amazed how fast they were going and was wondering about the time difference and if my food was going to be bad - decided to watch my security cameras as I’ve never had a bicycle delivery and was imagining them pulling up like lance armstrong all official like. They pulled up in a tinted car.

At first I thought maybe they sometimes do deliver on a bicycle but they were far from athletic, then I thought they’re hoping for extra tips since it’s hot out, then I jumped to their car or license probably isn’t in order so they are bypassing restrictions by pretending to be on a bike. Anyone have any other ideas? My gut is to ignore it and let them live their lives rather than report it but figured I’d get some advice here.

GPS direction is wrong

Does anyone know how to get ubereats to correct wrong GPS instructions? Anytime the delivery person is on a bike, it tells them to go past my building down a big hill and up through the woods behind me. I send a msg to ignore those instructions.. thankfully most catch it and some of the people actually go down the hill and around. it doesn't give that instruction when the delivery is coming by car. I made sure the location pin is right at the street but it doesn't make a difference.

Delivery drivers waiting in car parks for more orders, food poisoning and poor refunds. Is this really the future of food delivery?

So Friday just came i did a late online order for Mcdonalds (12 05am). Once again and this is very common for me, the delivery driver decided he wanted to do a trip down the other side of my town before going to the restaurant which okay is fine, i understand, what i dont understand was the 40 minutes sat in the car park while my food was getting dangerously cold, enough to give me an upset stomach the following night. I try get a refund as other than the burgers (Mcchicken the culprit i believe for the upset stomach), they only gave 30% of what i paid back.

Next night, i give them the benefit of the doubt, same thing happened, in fact it got so bad my order was fully cancelled after awhile, go to Justeat, same restaurant, same order, was at my door in 30 minutes.

What doesnt help and also is a slap in the face is how Uber does multiple orders, its doesnt order peoples orders from time since ordered its to distance, meaning me who ordered first gets it last every time. Either way im wondering if this is common for people or im just an unlucky person. You pay more for the convenience on not only delivery but the food itself, youd expect a bit of a better service. Also for drivers, do you not get any guilt when sitting in the car park for more orders? The funny thing is i tip all my orders first too but im very reluctant to even do that. Guess this is a learning experience, stop being lazy after work and cook yourself, apologise for the rant.

How far can this go

I ordered Taco Bell on the night of 4th of July. I understand that it will probably take a while even though the store is only a mile from my house. I ordered a 12-pack of tacos and two other items. I left a $4.50 tip on the order. (To the drivers: I tipped $4.50 for a 1 mile drive) I had 5 separate drivers on the order. The third driver messaged me and said “they said the order has already been picked up,” which I know is lingo for someone stole your order.
I contacted support and mentioned all of this to them: the wait time, the message from the driver. They basically said “you have to wait until your order arrives for us to do anything”
I messaged the next two drivers I had and said “hey they said someone picked up my order already so just ask if the order is correct.” No response, no biggie I get it requests like that are probably annoying to hear.
So order finally arrives. It’s a tiny bag and I already know it’s wrong. I open it and inside is a bag of ~cinnabons, 30 hot sauce packs, and a tiny side of queso.
To say I’m annoyed at this point is a given. I contact support again and they ask me for 3 separate photos of proof. I send them three separate photos of the bag I received and also said hey look at the photo the driver gave of the delivery and you can tell my order is not there. After much deliberation, the support finally says we can either refund you or give you credit. I know the support is not great but after almost 3 hours of back and forth and waiting they just offer a refund and the store is already closed. Just seems a bit aloof to me.

Do I just call my credit card company for charge back on partially stolen food?

I confirmed with the store that they provided the driver with two bags. The driver delivered 1 bag. I indicated that one of the items were not delivered and the auto response was "no refund for this item. It was ~35% of the total value of the order. I sent another message to uber, no response. I stated that if nothing is done then i'll do a charge back, so i guess i'll proceed since their agent scammed me and they wont do anything about it, unless people say here otherwise?

Uber is sending me a message about deliveries at risk but I am below the accepted cancellation rate.

They are telling me a cancellation rate of 15 percent or below is required to stay on the app but my cancellation rate is 13 percent so why am I receiving this message still? I had lowered my cancellation rate to 13 percent like 2 weeks ago already.

I have a serious question

As a driver, I have a serious question for Uber Eats customers.

I've been delivering for 6 years. I can say without a doubt that if I drive down the street at night and there's one house with the lights not on, that's the one I'm delivering to.

So my question is this: if you know that it's late at night and somebody is bringing food to your house, why in the name of Zeus's butthole do you not turn your outside lights on?

Uber eats driver rejects my ID?

I'm seriously really confused,

I ordered alcohol on ubereats and I frequently do as I don't live close to a liquor store and I've never had any problems - but for context I use a male name despite being a woman on uber just for safety.

Today was the first time I experienced this but my uber driver refused to scan my ID because my name was different.

Im a woman and sometimes I Uber to work and I use a male name for safety. I didn't think this would be important until tonight - I've been ordering alcohol for a while and never experienced this. I wish I had screenshots to prove this interaction. Im wondering if any ubereats drivers can give me any opinion on this ?? To be fair he cancelled the order and I just recorded and got it fine from the other driver.

What I'm most happy about is i could give the tip to my new driver and not the one who threw a fit about the first name being different

Would You Still Tip After This? 🤦🏽‍♀️

So this just happened to me. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I was coming out of my garage to meet my Uber eats driver, but it looks like he had already gone around to the front of my house. As I walked out, I saw his car parked there and my drinks spilled all over the ground. I looked at the app and saw he delievered it without saying a word. If I hadn't caught him coming back around, he never would've said anything. I asked him, "Did you spill my drinks?" and he said, "Yeah, sorry... just report it." And gave me an annoyed look.

I was like, "Are you kidding me?" I was so heated. I tried to reduce his tip to $0, but it looks like Uber Eats got rid of that option. I reported the order instead, and thankfully Uber refunded me.

I totally understand that accidents happen. That's not even what made me the most upset. What pissed me off was that he didn't give me a heads up, delivered the broken up drinks anyway and looked annoyed. If he had simply messaged me beforehand and apologized, I would've still been disappointed, but I would've understood. Instead, he only apologized because I caught him. If I hadn't walked out of my garage when I did, he never would've said a thing. Then had the nerve to look annoyed. Lol ugh I was looking forward to those drinks. Lol My food was also flipped over and all my rice was in the bag. 🤦🏽‍♀️ whole meal ruined.

I ordered $80 worth of food for family & ended up with somebody elses order and ubereats saying it their receipt matches the order I purchased 😂😂. This app SUCKS!

So are they just trying to lose customers at this point?

Last night I placed an order for groceries- pretty much all the fruit arrived moldy. They’re refusing to refund 1 of the items because “the picture isn’t clear enough”. I’ve had uber since uber black… like well over 12 years. And I’m legit going to cancel my uber one and do a chargeback for the full $80 order over $7 strawberries
