I have two 5 month old male degus (Kevin and Bradley). They’re both very friendly and have a big cage with toys and two 12 inch wheels that they use all the time, they also have a pretty big play pen that’s always open for them. I’d like to try some new enrichment and was hoping for some ideas for new enrichment I could try since I feel like they’re getting bored

So I was in the car with my dad and a baby hedgehog walked in front of the car, we didn’t hit it but my dad insisted on bringing it home, it was dehydrated and had really bad fleas, so I gave it water and my dad insisted on giving it dog food, we don’t plan on keeping it but my dad wants to put it in the hedge which think is a bad idea because it’s a small hedge and is next to a road. Idk what we could do since my dad yells at me when ever I suggest putting it in the woods or something. I could really use some tips on keeping it safe and healthy, I don’t use Reddit much so pls be nice. UPDATE!!!! I don’t think it’s a baby, I’m pretty sure it’s independent from its mother, it’s just young.
