The car will bring back the soul of the 90s
I believe that new cars are overpriced for the average working individual. This car will basically look like a third Gen camry. It will consist of the bare minimum safety requirements for 2026. It will still be better than a third Gen camry safety rating. People still drive them so this would not be a problem. The car brand will be called, Gearax which means a gear ratio and ax which sounds tough and it is easy to say. My first model will be as light as possible, no touchscreen, a beefy AC, easy oil filter/pan placement, cheap (but soulfully placed) materials, a basic inline 4 engine with 6 speed automatic (or manual), no cvt, no turbo, priced at 10,000. Market it to college students in need of reliable, no games/markups transport, make it in 2 colors to cut costs, lollipop red, monsoon Grey. No guarantees of excitement or groundbreaking mpg numbers. Just an engine that is under your control which is dependable. A car that you dont mind if it has a more noisy cabin. Odometer only reaches 120, to cut cost. 16 gallon fuel tank 87 octane. With our technology I believe we can make this engine durable enough that the only thing you will need to worry about is if it is efficient enough to suit your needs. I want to make a sketch of this car, I think it would look really tough and we can get it regulated to where it captures the look of a 90s camry or honda. Make it a vehicle that your mechanic will smile everytime you bring it for an oil change because it will be done in a jiffy. Make it a vehicle for people to grow with and be proud of it being based off the most mechanically sound generation of all time. Most importantly, we will not abandon our customers in favor of fancy gadgets to jack up prices. We are giving our resources, our time, our resilience to gear heads all over the world. Better yet, trade in your old 90s car to one of our dealerships. It can be Pontiac, Buick, Mazda, etc. It does not have to be working because we can strip it all down, thus creating more jobs for my company. I am going to read more about inline 4 cylinder engines and find out how to make this work. Let's get more people on the road with affordability at the pump and a mechanically engaging car to get around in.
I just spotted this in a parking lot, and it hit me, I haven’t seen a brand new Mitsubishi in ages. Honestly, I thought they completely pulled out of the US market and stopped selling cars here altogether. After a quick Google search, turns out they are still actively selling the new Outlander. To be fair, the interior actually looks pretty nice, but the exterior design feels so outdated to me. It looks like a last gen Hyundai.
Can't make a decision. I don't do offroading at all or haul anything except for a bike rack, but I am just a sucker for the 4runner.
The truth is the pilot fits my needs and the family, it is brand new. It has better mileage efficiency than the 4runner and it does look beautiful. Also being brand new I don't need to worry about how the previous owner took care of it.
The 4runner drives like a truck which I don't mind. It is a 2024 limited edition with 42000kms on it.
It has the bullet proof engine 4litres V6. (Last year that they are making that engine).7 seats, heated wheel, heated front seats, hitch receiver already installed.
Clean car fax with no accidents. It does not show any service records...
(It does not mean that the oil was never changed) but with used cars it's impossible to know the history.
Wife wants the pilot just cause is brand new, more family oriented, and you don't have to worry about buying an used car. Better warranty.
Deep inside I know I should get a pilot but I am really sad I can't get a 4 runner.
Maybe I will get over the 4 runner once I have the pilot.
Price: 2026 touring Cad $71000. Us $51613
2026 trailsport CAD 68000. Us $49400
2024 4runner limited CAD 62000. US $45000.
The market for 4 runner is insane. It might be gone tomorrow.
Any input is appreciated.
I currently have a 1st gen N/A veloster and I'm ready to move on, it's starting to act up with a couple minor check engine lights and now a grind into third gear so I'm looking to get a new car soon-ish. Ideally in the 8,000-12,000 range, I'm in Canada and fun is a big thing for me, I want a turbocharged car since my whole friend group has them except me so I feel a little slow at times, what should I go for next?
I've been looking into cheap and reliable cars to drive 45 minutes to my college everyday. It's a community college and it does not have dorms! I stumbled across a Hyundai Accent normally being 2007-2010 and thought it was a nice car. Im genuinely just wondering if its reliable, im aware of the best options but I just recently became interested in this specific car! Im still exploring my options though!
Just got my 2015 vw beetle back from the shop after receiving a repair. I didn’t notice these identical marks in the front until I was home. I’m assuming maybe this is where they lifted my car. They’re small, but I can’t stop thinking about them. Should I go back to the shop to inquire about them? Or is it too small and should I just let it go? Or, is there a DIY way I could make it look better?
I’ve never painted a vehicle before. What steps should I take to make this look moderately respectful.
I don’t know how to fix the dent. What exactly do I do? How do I suck it out and make it even :( it’s impossible and will look weird to fix I just know it :( and the black honeycomb part is irreparable :(
Hello guys I’m 18 and I know nothing about cars but I need some advice I haven’t gotten my first car yet and I want a reliable car that I can have until I’m 25 and I found this one on Facebook marketplace for 1000 dollars which is really cheap for a car in my opinion but there are some things that are wrong with the car and obviously I’m gonna work hard to fix it before I drive it and I know it’s either a risky decision or the best decision so I need advice do you guys think it’s worth it this is the description of the post
1997 BMW E36 328i (M52B28) Convertible — Clean Title — Non-Op
BMW E36 2.8. Clean title, currently on non-operation registration.
A lot of work has already been done on the car:
– New rear shocks and rear springs
– New crankshaft & camshaft position sensors
– New VANOS / valve solenoid
– New MAF sensor
– New injectors, spark plugs, ignition coils
– New idle control valve
– New PCV / crankcase ventilation
Transmission works perfectly — shifts smooth, no issues.
Things to note:
– Overheating issue (probably head gasket)
– Airbag light is on due to aftermarket seats
– Convertible top works in manual mode only (one of the motors is not functioning
Heyy Guyss I want to coat my car , please help me find at an affordable rate or if possible, so I can do it in by myself !!! Give me some suggestions please
I’m thinking about potentially importing some French/European cars into the US in the future and wanted to see if there’s actually interest for this market.
Stuff like:
Peugeot
Renault
Citroën
Alpine
maybe special diesel/manual wagons or hot hatches you normally never see in the US.
Not talking about super expensive classics only — more interesting daily drivers, quirky cars, rare trims, etc.
Would people in the US actually buy/import these?
And which models do you think would have the most demand?
Heyyy guyss, actually I want to buy some products for my car but I'm so confused rn I don't know which one should I buy please help me out 😭😭😭😭.......
I need input on how much should be expected to repair the damage on my car (2019 Toyota Prius).
I was on the highway a couple of days ago, and the person that was to the left of me swerved out of their lane and bumped my car.
They’ve offered to pay for the repair, but don’t want to go through insurance (apparently they just switched insurances and so there’s some kind of issue, I don’t really know).
I’ve gotten a quote from a repair shop and it was about $3,500 - is this a reasonable price for these dents and scratches to be fixed?
My car’s been hit in a parking lot in the past (this has been fixed long ago). I remember being surprised at the quote the body shop gave my insurance, so I’m aware that the cost for fixing damage on cars can be expensive. But I was kind of surprised that this kind of damage would cost this much, and the person who hit me said that it sounds extreme (I sent them the quote with the breakdown).
I’ve reached out to a couple of other shops for quotes, but while I wait, I was interested in getting some feedback:
Is this a fair price or if it’s just kinda the "we don’t really want to do this, so here’s the fuck you price"? (I’m in Michigan if that helps)
There was a day I saw someone trying to rush out early in the morning for an important appointment when their car suddenly refused to start properly.
At first, it looked like a small issue, but after a few attempts, it became clear it wasn’t something that could be fixed quickly on the spot. The frustrating part was the timing, everything else for the day was already planned around that trip.
People around were suggesting different quick fixes and even trying to find someone nearby with spare parts, but nothing was immediately available.
I'II would like to know, best way to choose trusted online auto parts for vehicle repair and replacement parts?
Update: Someone suggested me Buyparts.online, which is an online store for heavy-duty truck parts where you can search by part number or vehicle make and order OEM or aftermarket replacements. Might be useful when you’re stuck without local repair options. Has anyone here used something like this in similar situations?
Hi I was backing out and my bumper got caught on something and detached. How much would it cost to repair this. I do not want to replace because i am on a budget, is that feasible?
I recently bought a car and I’ve been getting a bunch of mail since then about vehicle security, theft prevention, and registration protection programs. Some of it looks official, but I honestly can’t tell what’s legit . Is this just something everyone gets after buying a car, or should I actually be paying attention to any of it?
I spent part of my last sunday cleaning my car even though I never did it myself because it had reached the point where I was embarrassed giving people lifts in it.
I work long hours and basically live in this thing during the week, so I kept ignoring it and saying I’d deal with it next weekend.
while checking I found an old meal deal wrapper under the passenger seat, loads of dust around the center console, and somehow a sock that definitely doesn’t belong to me.
The stupid part is that I got so used to the mess that I stopped noticing it completely until I cleaned everything properly.
Driving to work this morning after ecoverdevalet handles actually felt nicer for once after a long time of looking it tattered. maybe it`s the way I am seeing it though i would say the car smelled fresh, windows were clean, and I wasn’t staring at fingerprints and dust every time sunlight hit the dashboard.
I’m probably going to neglect it again in a month, but right now it feels like a new car honestly.
I don`t know if anyone has experience this before?
