Permit to start Rae Lakes clockwise on Thursday.

Planning 4 nights: 1) Mid/upper paradise valley, 2) Woods Creek, 3) Upper Rae Lake, 4) Junction Meadow

I’m definitely concerned about lightning, but not sure how to reasonably interpret the risk of the weather forecast.

The image is the forecast from NWS focused near the Rae Lakes.

Do these forecasts seem like normal it-is-what-it-is-yes-it-might-storm high sierra summer weather? Or are they high enough to give serious pause about going?

I'm trying to get the weather forecast for the Cedar Grove area of Kings Canyon-Sequoia.

I often prefer the NWS forecasts, so that's where I went.

But there are two different forecasts for the same coordinates.

Am I misunderstanding or doing something wrong in how to look this up?
