I got a great deal on a pair of GoldenEar Triton Sevens for $800 (new). Going to power it with a Denon S910-W (basically brand new for $350).
Now I am hoping to get a sub, and this is all my first entry into audiophile journey. Any recommendations, I want to wirelessly connect the sub to the DVR so that’s already like $200 for the receiver and so looking for something in $500 range.
If you have $1k would you get a soundbar or 2.1 system?
I’m content with the Samsung Q990F but really want to know if does add value to games like GTA/Zelda/Cyberpunk over a 2.1 system ?
I game (FPS, and single player), watch tv/movies and listen to music as well.
I got Samsung Q990F it sounds great with movies and is a big step up from my TCL TV speakers.
Music sounds okay on it but not mind blowing.
I am thinking GTA VI will sound amazing on this.
I think a 2.1 will be sufficient cause so far the rear speakers of the Q990F are not adding much value in most the content I consume.
Anyone been in this situation? I know if post this in any audio sub or home theater I’ll be reamed out.
