Title. Is a Chenango style pattern legal according to NFHS regulations, and how can I make sure my players keep it legal

Stringing my brother a new goalie head as a graduation gift, he was curious if I could do a Chenango pattern - just for fun, not games. Curious if this is even remotely possible, and if anyone had advice about patterns.
