Recommended trips / tours around Orange / Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Hello everyone,
I’m going to a concert in August in Orange (France) with a friend and because we have never been around this area we made a trip out of it.
We’ll be arriving in Orange on 19 August and would like to spend 20 and 21 August going on day trips. (We still have the 19th itself and the 22nd to see Orange). I love Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines and definitely want to visit the area, ideally to go on a wine tasting tour. We will travel by train from one city to another and my friend doesn't has a driving licence (but I have).
Can you recommend any places to visit? Is it worth booking a tour via GetYourGuide or TripAdvisor, or would you recommend hiring a car to drive ourselves?
It is hard to judge, but some of the Tour offers on GetYouGuide or TripAdvisor look a bit pricy - therefore I highly recommend your ideas / places / tours.
Also, before travelling to Orange we will be hiking in Cassis and I noticed there are some dive shops. I reached out to Narval and Cassis Calanques Plongée to get clearified if I can dive there but didn't get any reply so far (I don't speak french).
So if you have some recommendations about diving in Cassis I would be also very happy to hear from you.
