I'm going for a VOF trek in the first week of July. My pickup point is Rishikesh. I'll be reaching Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun.

So how to reach Rishikesh from there? Is Uber or Rapido available there? Is the airport taxi at a reasonable price for tourists? What's the price I can expect?

As I am getting ready for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib trek, I was going through several videos on YouTube. Since I am a beginner, I am not sure about what all trekking gears are needed. I've seen some people not wearing trekking shoes. So is it necessary to have a trekking shoe or a Decathlon jogging shoe will be sufficient for this trek? Also other than rain gears what other gears should I rent out?

I am completely new to hiking/treking. I've booked for VOF and Hemkund Sahib trek in Trek The Himalayas in early July (it was an impulsive decision btw). I'm here looking for advice and tips that a beginner should be aware of. So yeah, please help me if you've done this trek.
