DMs of D&D Reddit, how often do you "fudge" dice rolls or hit points?

This is more out of curiosity, but I'm curious as to how many of my fellow DMs alter their dice rolls/hit points at the table?

I will fully admit that I do this much more often than I should, but it's usually for one of a few reasons. I usually fudge dice rolls depending on the status of a fight. If my party is struggling really early on and I continuously roll high, I'll just decide to let a few of them "miss" to give my party some breathing room. On the flip side, if they're DESTROYING something I don't want to be destroyed within 2 turns, mayyybeee they "roll" a nat 20 to show the party that they aren't exactly a pushover. I do something similar for hit points, where if the enemy is low enough and one of my PCs did something cool, I'll let them describe their killing blow even if it TECHNICALLY wasn't supposed to kill the monster. Rarely do I ever give enemies more health, only on occasions where they're about to slam through the BBEG within 2 turns. It's fully contextual on how I want my party to feel about the fight/narrative. I generally don't want them to feel drained after a relentless onslaught, and I don't want them to be disappointed that the BBEG died in 1 turn. I do it with the intent of adding more to the narrative or giving my players a bit more of a challenge. Does anyone do anything similar?

Temporary, faster internet for a hotel room?

I'm doing a summer internship soon for a tech company, and will be staying in an extended-stay hotel room for ~2 months. I'm not a fan of using hotel Wi-Fi with how inconsistent and slow it can be, and I know it won't be great for online gaming and transferring large files (which I will be doing a lot of for reasons outside of work).

What are my options for this? I'm not looking for something extremely fast, but something that's at least better than hotel wifi.
