Ultra Running in POV YouTube Videos
I put together a couple of 'POV' style videos of two of the first ultras I ran, and I'm trying to decide whether these types of videos are something I should continue with.
I had a YouTube series called 'Karting in POV' when I was racing go karts professionally, and afterwards attempted the same thing with ultra running and have recorded footage at almost every race I've been to. I've only put together a couple of videos so far and the upload time was extremely spread apart. My karting videos brought in a good deal of attention and proved to be a success, but my running videos have gotten off to a very slow start. I understand that this might be because the vast majority of my subscriber base has no interest in running, and I haven't made enough running videos yet for the algorithm to push my content towards the people who actually want to see it.
So my question is, do these types of videos resonate well with viewers of ultra running content? It's meant to be a first-hand view and narration of my ultrarunning experiences, documenting the entire trip rather than just the race. Is there anything I should do differently to make these videos more suitable for the ultra/trail running crowd, or should I just push out more content like this at a higher frequency?
I appreciate any feedback! I'll post the video links below.
