Is this a real pattern? What I mean by this is I seem to note people at least on social media sites who will claim they are following some form of traditional spirituality including and especially ones not from the kind of Abrahamic religion (but perhaps sometimes there too), and yet will seep in "new age" type thinking like "manifestation", "vibes" etc. and especially ideas like "higher selves" where I tend to have some issues I've found recently.
