I've been wanting to swap my 12a over to efi so I can turbo it down the road. This listing appeared on marketplace and I've been doing research but having a hard time finding answers. What else would I need in order to make this work? Would like to keep it relatively cost effective. Also been looking at 13b intake conversions to even 13b swaps but rotary stuff is hard to come by around me
Should I be worried? What is this part for? Looks to be a retainer or something but I'm not sure.
I recently picked up my first project car, a 79 rx7 that came with 2 12a complete engines, a 4speed manual, 5 speed manual, enough gears to rebuild another transmission, and tons of interior parts. I'm trying to atleast get the car running right now and believe I chose the best condition engine of the two, I've bore scoped it and haven't notices any chunks missing from the irons so now I'm trying to piece it together and put it in the car. They both have different flywheel though and I believe the exedy clutch kit I got with it only fits the flywheel that isn't raised. Which of the 2 fly wheels should I run and if it's the raised one what clutch kit will fit it?.
Recently I picked up a 79 rx7 with 2 12a engines (one blown in the car, and a spare long block) I've been going through parts for the car and found a turbo kit but there's this aluminum box that matches the turbo intake outlet though it doesn't seem to match anything else. Any ideas as of to what it's for?
