Overseas for more than a month
Hi everyone, seeking some advice from anyone who may have been in a similar situation. I initially went away for 4 weeks, during this time I developed an abscess so went to a local dentist to be informed that I have severe gum disease and that it needed to be treated as some teeth may need to be extracted and so I have extended my stay for a total of 3 months a I am able to work remotely. I received a request to attend an appointment with UC and so I informed them that I was unable to attend, giving my reasons. I now have to report the change. Does anyone know what will happen from here? I’m worried that it may close my claim and if I reapply on my return I will lose the transitional relief I had from working tax credits. I thought that I could save costs by getting my treatment overseas but if I need to reapply and lose my transitional relief, I think I’m about £200-250 out of pocket per month. So I could return, although the dentist said I need to get this treated as I have extensive gum disease with a number of loose teeth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
