Does anyone else think big golf stores have a slim selection of shafts to try?
Did a half assed fitting of sorts at a major golf store near me for the Mizuno Pro M15s and there was only like 3 of the available optional shafts to try. Ended up ordering a different shaft on the clubs from 2nd swing since they had better trade in + bonus.. but man how do you really see all the options available to you?
Male early 30s here. For the majority of my life I liked golf but never thought I could play it. Tried to hit one ball when I was like 13, missed it and decided golf wasn’t my thing.
Fast forward 18 years, buddy is getting married and wants me to go with them day of the wedding. Fine I’ll sit in the cart have some cigars and drink. They made me hit one shot and god damnit I actually hit the ball.. straight down the fairway with the driver and it went like 150. Well shit, then I watched them all suck and realized I could probably do this.
2 weeks later I pickup a callaway edge set start hitting balls and now I’ve got the itch. I have since massively turned over my bag. 3 drivers, multiple shafts, mizuno irons, Mizuno wedges that I swapped from Cleveland’s.. 4 fucking putters including a LAB I just bought.
The buddies I played with that started this addiction; all use top flite sets and think I’m insane. All this since last August. Anyone else nuts like me?
Edit* for everyone saying lessons I’ve had 20 since August. So that’s definitely a priority.
