Hello,

We are looking for a couple of additional players for a friendly monthly recurring poker tournament in Saskatoon (on the east side).

We are older players aged 45-55 with a couple players outside of that range on both ends. Our tournaments are VERY LOW STAKES - Think $10 per game and the tournament is a freezeout which means NO REBUYS.

Dispite the low buy-in, we are serious about our tournaments and treat the monthly games like a league complete with stats and standings. We figure that if people can take games like Monopoly super seriously for free, we can attempt to do the same thing with poker without playing for hundreds of dollars per game.

Here's what we are looking for in a potential player:

-friendly and respectful, with the possibility of platonic genuine friendships growing outside of the game. In other words we don't want someone to show up in a hoodie and headphones and not say a word to anyone all night. We are a friendly group.

-non smoker, non drug user. It's not a complete deal breaker, but we want people at the table playing cards and not outside smoking or getting high. We also have some players with scent sensitivities, so if you smell of tobacco or weed, that is going to be unpleasant for us while playing for hours in close quarters.

-be available on Saturday nights. We play once a month without fail, always on a Saturday evening. We generally take a vote on a couple of Saturdays each month and go with whichever will yield the best turnout. Games currently range from 6 to 12 players. We are hoping to find players who are willing to come to at least 6 games per year if they enjoy the people and the format.

-know the game of poker! We are mostly looking for people who already know how to play, and can be aware of simple things during the game, such as posting blinds without being reminded, etc. If you are a little rusty or make an occasional mistake, no problem.

-Is invested in the game! Please play seriously with intent to win and come prepared for a full evening of poker. We strive to improve our game and that can only occur if people are actually trying to play good poker and not going all-in every 2nd hand on the first couple of blind levels. Remember - No rebuys!

-enjoy 80's music! It's kind of our thing.
