Hello everyone, Firstly, sorry for a lack of photos and the wall of text BUT there's been a handful of ZEZTZ theories running around and its had me thinking lately and has led to some fun discussions with my friends.
Particularly, what got me thinking about ZEZTZ was the naming choices, it firstly started with NOX.
You see, NOX's name is based on The Greek goddess of the night, Nyctha or Nyx, the Romans referred to her as NOX.
Initially, this caught my eye and I was wondering if there was other ways we could tie themes of ZEZTZ to Greek and Roman mythology and something sparked (lol) my interest like crazy in who ZEZTZ may be based around.
ZEZTZ's naming and odd focus on lightning powers is because he is their own little twist of ZEUS.
Work with me here for a second, Its interesting how Baku/Seven has had so much focus put on Plasma, its origin and how it linked back to a freak accident, how it is the only form that "Booster" has upgraded, even in the latest episode preview building up to the final form, there's yet again an emphasis being put on Zeztz utilizing the Plasma capsule to give his belt a shock to restart and revive it, not only that, EXDREAM is a direct upgrade to the base of Plasma and Booster, exact same color scheme and I'm sure the lightning powers will come into play at some point there too.
Either way, if you weren't abroad with me on this just yet as the theory is a massive work in progress, my best friend was discussing with me about NEM's impact and position in the show and he was able to narrow who she is based off of mythology.
NEM is a twist on: Demeter, the Greek goddess of agriculture, prosperity and fertility of earth.
How does Demeter link to her as well as the story with the others?
Well.
Demeter was one who was rescued by Zeus and through Zeus, she became the mother of Persephone, a fertility goddess and resurrection deity(NEM literally has a Garden that responds to her own subconcious, more on this later). However, the twist in our story is..
Persephone's role is played by her mother: Code Number TWO, The Lady. (Uh..kinda..)
Again, work with me here.
There is similarities in the story of how Demeter's daughter was abducted by Hades (Code?) and later on Zeus had ordered Hades to return Persephone so that Demeter may continue her work in aiding plants grow, etc etc. (The mind garden of NEM iirc)
All those details aren't overly important right now, whats important to know for this theory is, at least to us, its becoming more clear that the current story centered around ZEZTZ (Zeus), NOX (Nyx), Nem(Demeter), The Lady(Persephone), is kamen rider's own twist at it, it doesn't match all the details because in a way, NEM and Lady have swapped places in the roles Demeter and Persephone play.
The most important things to note about Demeter as well is her own Emblem is a Poppy flower, this Poppy(?) flower is something we've seen in the show through the openings and in the design of the upcoming Olivion Gore nightmare. The door's having the greek like statues on them is also a thing. I do believe that this Oblivion Gore Nightmare is NEM's true nightmare associated with her and may be one of the final bosses of the show, after all, they got Junko Takeuchi to voice her too.
Going further along with our theory and the parallels of what I'm talking about, in the latest episode when NEM was fed up with revelations and her purpose in the world, the flowers in that garden the lady has, began to wither, responding to NEM's emotions and THE LADY noticed it immediately! Actually, this is something that even Demeter has as a defining trait, when she felt grief over losing her child, she caused the world around her to wither, this does mean that at some point in the show, when the Lady dies(lets be real here), NEM will go into so much despair I can see her being the one to unintentionally start the apocalypse.
Yet again, the show is based around sleep and all that and the Poppy flower is often associated with the themes of symbolizing eternal sleep or death (HMMMM), it is linked to Hypnos and Thanatos, Hypnos is the god of sleep and there's many theories about Kamen Rider ZEZTZ link to Hypnos, and so much more.
My theory isn't fully well thought out but these were some bullet points were discussing last night that just added up a bit too perfectly, not to mention, we know there is a "Deeper Dream World" that EXDREAM can access, I believe this place to be the "UNDERWORLD" where the gore nightmares reside, HADES of our show has yet to be revealed but I do believe HADES is meant to either be CODE as an org OR Lord Three himself.
Again, the theory is a massive work in progress but I wanted to share the thoughts with everyone and see what you think too! :D
