I’ve been getting small closed bumps without a head on my jawline and cheeks. It started approximately 1 year ago on my right jaw/chin area, but has progressively gotten worse (more of them) and spread to both cheeks and jawline.

I’ve been on curology’s formula with tretinoin 0.01%, clindamycin phosphate 1%, and azelaic acid 4% for several years now. I also started birth control (Yaz) and oral spironolactone 100mg for approximately 4 months now. It helped the cystic acne I was getting immensely, but it seems like nothing I do will touch these bumps or keep them from multiplying.

In the morning I use a gel moisturizer, Paula’s choice exfoliant, Kiehls ultra meltdown recovery cream, and cicaplast balm and hero sunscreen.

At night it’s pretty much the same, but substituting the Paula’s exfoliant with my tretinoin/azelaic acid formula and removing the sunscreen.

Any idea what might be causing these and what to do about getting rid of them?
