Hi all,

I am mostly a dental photographer using the Sony A7CR with Sony 90mm Macro lens. I was thinking about switching to 100mm GM Macro but was just curious whether the upgrade would be worthwhile in my case.

The only photos I take are intraoral dental photos shot between f/16-f/22 using flash. Thus, the teleconverter compatibility and overall capabilities are not very relevant for me.

All I am after is maximum sharpness and detail rendering for clinical dental photography.

So, for those of you who have used both the lenses,

Are there any differences in sharpness anf detail when shooting in those apertures?

Is the new 100mm GM lens sharper/better when shooting dental macros?
