Still not eating great…
So posted awhile back about my Leo not eating. Came to the conclusion that it was due to mating season as she was acting differently too (much more active, wanted out more) but it’s been a couple months now and things are still rocky. In both March and April she had a total of 4 bugs per month (extremely unusual, usually eats twice a week between 5-7 bugs per feed) and as of this month has had 5 so far, which is definitely an improvement, however what concerns me is that she acts interested in the bugs (hunts them and then does try to strike) but if she misses a couple times, which she often does as she isn’t striking with her usual confidence, she gives up and just walks away. I am worried, as clearly she is hungry, as she doesn’t bother trying to hunt them when she isn’t, but I don’t know what to do about her giving up after a miss. Any advice appreciated. (She’s ab rescue, about 6 years but I’ve had her for 3. Had a problem with feeding last year during mating season but it only lasted a couple weeks. No issue otherwise) thank you :)
