How messed up is this and what can we do?

In December, my great grandfather died. My grandmother was living with him for the past decade to help take care of him and was to inherit his house after he passed. Last year she got a UTI and was deemed incompetent then was later diagnosed with the UTI and treated then she was fine. She wasn’t incompetent, if you know the way that a UTI affects old people it messes them up. During that period of time it had raised some suspicions that she wouldn’t be fit to remain beneficiary for the house on his will and at some point or another, the will was tweaked to change it so the executor of the will was his nephew’s wife. My great grandfather was 93 years old and would have believed anything that was told him.
After he passed my grandmother and mother continued staying in his house.(my mother has also lived there since 2020 and takes care of my grandmother, and was also taking care of my great grandfather before his passing.) his nephew’s wife had showed up to the house with a locksmith a couple months after my great grandfather’s passing and had attempted to gain entry into the home with my mother and grandmother residing inside. Once the locksmith realized that a sheriff needed to be present since this is a legal matter he told them that they weren’t allowed to enter into the home a sheriff needed to be present. Well, this lady. His nephew’s wife assaulted my mom and punched her in the face through the door. Then has not returned since or been heard from.
Fast forward to yesterday. A man shows up at the door with a body cam on and tells my mom he bought the house for his daughter and plans on moving things in tomorrow. And being fully moved in by the weekend. He claimed he didn’t know anyone lived there. Then he shows back up later that day and tells my mom that they have two hours to vacate the property as they are a liability. Then shows up an hour later with a drill and begins trying to break into the home. The only paperwork he had was a deed transfer paper. We called the cops and they soon showed up getting both of our stories. The man was still actively trying to drill into our door as they showed up and they had to tell him to stop.

Their has been, no court ordered eviction, no realtors, no listings for the house. No notice or warning that this was going to be happening. Come to find out his daughter is the lawyer that was directly dealing with my deceased grandfather‘s estate. is this not a conflict of interest? Seems like a pretty big one to me. The police made us grab as much of our things as we can out of the home and said we could come back to grab the rest of our things tomorrow and that the family wouldn’t enter the home for the rest of the night. they were in the house when I drove past again. So now my mother and 73 year-old grandmother are out of a home with nowhere to go, can’t afford an apartment in this economy. Anytime my grandmother has requested to see a copy of the will. She has been denied by the executor. I believe that the deed was transferred over to these people without sale so the executor my (great grandfather’s nephew’s wife) could gain access to the home. And she could proceed with selling it. Why would his lawyer daughter who knew we were living there not disclosed to him that we were living there? And if he didn’t know that people were living there. Why would he show up with a body cam? Again there has been no eviction notices. Nothing signed off from a judge nothing from a sheriff just a stranger showing up to the home and drilling into the deadbolt and be behaving, erratically and aggressively.
