Does anyone else think this was a remarkably stupid red herring?
If you've ever read any of Rogue's classic comic material, her one major character arc is about having permanently stolen Carol Danver's powers and memories. Her mind gets jumbled up, and she is quite literally mistaken for Carol by psychic characters once or twice. I don't really care that Carol wasn't a character in s8, I have no issue with waiting, but why the fuck are we having Jean detect brain waves "remarkably similar to Rogue's" and then having it be some stupid fucking sci-fi clone skin instead of Carol? It's like if they dropped a teaser for "A mutated bald-headed leader with psychic powers" and then the character was Thanos lol.
I only complain about this because the Rivals devs are usually really good on their comic lore, and given the lack of attention Rogue has been getting in the balancing department, it is a bit frustrating to see them drop the ball here as well.
